I thought that the wolfbeast appears after Ardibran dies. I've looked all around the castle but I cant find him.
|
I've never found it there....The only times, I have found him...He wanders the far western edge of the Shire. Anywhere between 'Dragon Spire' and the 'Stout Mines'. Rumor has it ...He only comes out at night....I honestly can't remember, if I 've ever seen him, during the day.
|
I have seen him in the day time - he's usually in the area that you find Jathil or find the writ on the burnt body.

Methinks someone once told me that finding the writ was the trigger to his appearance. Don't remember if that's been the case or not, but it might be worth remembering.

i think that the wolfbeast appears ANYWHERE (oh no! ) on the western side near the dragon spire n the stout mines.....i found it while i was travelling to the stout mines n yes, it was during the night. so maybe if u wander around there at night (say midnight maybe???) u would be able to find it.

Thanks guys,
I will take a wander around that area tonight. I already have the writ, in fact somehow I have 3 of them. |
They are all wrong ! The wolfbeast is now happily trotting along in my garden :D :D It´s not that big and certainly not terryfying since it runs sideways lol! But then I also have a bear and a lovely dolphin out there :D :D

Hi Guys, I'm back!
Been wandering around Might & Magic, good game but I still think W & W is better! I found the wolfbeast near the graveyard near to where you meet Jathril. Not a big deal and quite easy to kill especially with your Barbarian Kev! Happy gaming! |
Strange.
I wandered everywhere there and have never seen it. :( |
Did you have the quest?????
If you don't have the quest....he's not there. Just like, the Samurai, Shrew Christi and Grue Morde. Besides....He's soooo easy to kill....that they had to make him...hard to find. [ 09-08-2002, 03:43 PM: Message edited by: Packrat ] |
Yes, I had the quest.
Oh well, I survived without beating him. :D |
Thanks Wyv,
I've dumped the writs. I have a growing pile of stuff I dont need at present dumped outside the gates of Ishad na. It takes up too much inventory space to carry all those keys & things around. I just hope that they dont disappear on me when I need them. |
Oh well we know what to do about items that disappear! :D
Stuff stored outside of the Ishad N'hahaha gates seems to be fairly safe though. Never heard of anyone reporting things going missing from there (of course after the pile gets so big, how could they tell if one item was gone? ;) ) Wyv |
quest items wont disappear, but normal items does. but usually i juz carry my quest items around although it's quite stupid i agree, but tt is for just-in-case things u know........ ;)
|
On a solo game inventory space is at a premium. The only things I've lost are 8 writs that I left in the foyer of the stout mine, but there are plenty of spares lying around in other places.
While I am looking for things to kill, I still haven't encountered Shrew Christi. I have the quest but have never found him in my other games either. |
The ol' Shrew is pretty... shrewd. He can be found in the norther regions, near the Boogre Caves. There's a clearing to the west of where the Boogres are, and he's in there.
My first game, I somehow ran into him before I had the quest, so my quest never cleared. Succeeding games, I've stayed out of there until I was ready for some Shrews-ke-bab. Man, it's lunchtime, and I'm getting hungry... |
