when my character's skills go over the page, how am i supposed to raise them without using money 2 train in them? pls. tell me..........i heard that there is some kind of editor that allows u to edit those outside skills. pls. lemme know where is this editor located!!!

kev 08-28-2002 10:11 AM

When you fill up the skills page you cannot access the ones that are off the page. Try to get some points on things like gallantry & prowess before they are off the screen, you cant train them in a guild.
For a link to the editor, I think that WillowIX posted that in my beat the game with one player thread. I haven't used it so I dont know what it does with skills.

LiOnHe@rT 08-28-2002 10:16 AM

oh really? but i can't seem to find it. could u be more specific please?

Bungleau 08-28-2002 10:44 AM

A quick search on Google for "wizards warriors editor" turned up about half a dozen promising links on the first page. You might check there.

Unless you desperately need a place to put skill points, I wouldn't worry too much about it. Having or not having points in those areas doesn't detract from gameplay IMHO. Besides, if you're going to edit them, I suspect you'd probably edit them to 12 anyway, so you'd still be applying points elsewhere.

Sorry LiOnHe@rT,
That link wasn't on that post. I have been trying to find it, I wish I had bookmarked it. try this http://www.timsvault.com/pcgames_w/wiz_war_ed.htm

LiOnHe@rT 09-01-2002 11:17 AM

i managed 2 download the skill editor n found out a few things i dun understand in it..........
firstly, when i looked under the traits section, i saw this trait which was totally new. i tink it was called blood.....um bloodrisk or something like dat. i wonder wat it does........ can any1 tell me wat it does?
oh and also, they spelt "trait" wrongly (it became "treat" hehheh ) almost died of laughter when i saw that....... :D

Dearest friend LiOnHe@rT,

I think the trait you're thinking of is Bloodscent, a native trait of Gourks that allows them a low-level scouting ability. Scout is much better when you get it to higher levels.

As for the typos, I'm not sure who wrote that editor, or what their native language might be. I'm always impressed by the many people I've run into who speak English (or American, if you prefer) so much better than I speak their native languages.

My personal favorite translation typo was in a French movie of the story of Tristan and Isolda. On one subtitle, the phrase "mon Isolde blonde" (IIRC) was translated as "my blind Isolda". Unfortunately, those kinds of things are usually humorous for just a moment, and just when you're in the moment. Right now, for example, it still makes me snicker. 'Most everyone else reading this is probably wondering if I'm done yet... and I am.

nono Bugleau, wat i saw was another Blood-something. i already saw the trait Bloodscent at the other side of the page so the 1 i'm pondering now is another trait which i haf no idea wat it does..........
try getting the editor n figuring it out, then pls. tell me if u know wat it is.........

Bungleau 09-02-2002 09:48 PM

Hmmmm... I know Bloodscent, Bloodlust, Bloodbath, Blood to Gold... nothing else, though. Bloodlust may be tracked as a trait of sorts, since it does affect the character.

Sorry, but them's all my thoughts.

LiOnHe@rT 09-02-2002 10:55 PM

choy choy choy!!! the trait which i'm pondering now is called Blood REALM!!! hmm.......i wonder what it does.........

My son is particularly fond of using the subtitle feature on DVDs and we've quite often got a chuckle out of the differences between what is said and what is written - especially when the DVD in question is an anime that has been dubbed where the differences between the spoken and written can almost be completely different scripts! ;)

I too have been greatly impressed by the many posters for whom English/American is not their native language! They do far better than I ever could if the tables were turned. I cringe to think what I would do to French or German is I needed to use either. And my Latin is even worse though that will probably never come to the test! Just remember: Semper Ubi Sub Ubi! ;)

no i mean PROPERLY answer my question about what the trait "Blood Realm" does.........

Packrat 09-09-2002 02:57 PM

I don't think any of us can tell you...It seems that none of us has ever used the 'editor' and the 'Blood Realm' trait...is not available in the regular game.

All I can say is.....try it
...Copy your 'SAVE' and 'Roster.DAT' files and put them in some other folder.....then 'Edit' your current character...if you don't like what it does...replace your 'Save' and 'Roster.DAT' files...with your old copies.

LiOnHe@rT 09-10-2002 11:36 AM

hmm...........ok maybe i'll give it a shot! thx 4 telling me packrat!!!

kev 09-12-2002 10:06 AM

When you find out what blood realm does let the rest of us know. I just hope it doesn't turn your whole team into vampires.
