I'm so confused! I tell the farmers that I will help them, and then when I talk to the girl (evil, btw) she goes all innocent and junk. Playing a Paladin I'm trying to do the right thing and all, but both sides make some sense, and both want bloodshed! What do I do!?

You say both sides are right?

Well obviously, role playing a Paladin, you must execute them both.

Well, both sides are evil, but the farmers started this little conflict. So go kill the farmer. There may be no truly good path through this, but there is a less evil path.

When you accept the quest from the farmers go and tell Tenya about it. Say that you must kill her and when you beat her up enough she'll talk to you and tell you that *SPOILER* (select the text to read it) <font color="#3D2F1B"> fishermen stole her bowl </font>. Therefore you realize that she did nothing wrong so you shouldn't actually kill her although she is evil.

IMO, a paladin shouldn't kill evil char until he/she(/it) does something against the law.

Tenya is the priestess of Umberlee. The evil goddess. That should be enough for most paladins to execute her.

It ain't true that paladins wouldn't kill evil characters until they've broken the law. Some would, some wouldn't. Paladins' personalities vary from one person to another.

Go ahead kill them all, they all lied that alone is enough to go into hack and slash mode even for a Paladin!

U didn't help the farmers, did u? Maybe if u kill Tenya after all u might get *that* reward (probably 18 Cha too) but otherwise can't help you with that.

I hit her with some melee hits and an acid arrow. She told me to stop and began to explain her reasons. I thought: "Sounds OK to me - I'll go for the fishermen", but then the acid did its work and then she died. I went back for the fishermen and accused them for sending me out on an evil deed. They went hostile and therafter dead.

Hmm - I guess I'll miss the quest.

BTW: Are there any use of the bowl?

None that I know of. And did you save before that fight? Also try to hit her with arrows that does not deal damage over time, just in case *that* disaster (?) hits, too.

Too late now! I moved on from that spot, long time ago.

Maybe I'll try to do it differently in another game (after I have finished this one).

As for you, InsaneBane, there is absolutely no use for the bowl.

So it is OK that I use it as a Frisbee :D

I think I remember a shop, that would give 100GP for it. Now I just have to find that place again. On second thoughts - I think I'll drop that bowl on the ground. There are faster ways to earn 100GP [img]smile.gif[/img]

Well I've done it! I decided that both parties were ultimately evil, and therefore disposed of both of them. I killed Tenya first, especially because I found she was evil using Detect Evil. Then I killed the farmers after my character found out what they had done. By the way, there was not a magic sword, just a flail +1.
