Lets check who people have in their parties. Say Race, gender, role and level.

My party is:

1. Human, Male, Warrior-to-Paladin, lvl 19.
2. Human, Female, Warrior-to-Ranger-to-Valkyrie, lvl 15.
3. Gnome, Male, Rouge-to-Ninja-to-Assassin, lvl 18.
4. Pixie, Male, Priest-to-Monk, lvl 19
5. Elf, Male, Wizard-to-Warlock-to-ZenMaster, lvl 15
6. Dwarf, Male, Warrior-to-Barbarian, lvl 20

Also can anyone tell me if they know how to get the spellfire or chi master trait? That whould help out my ZenMaster a lot.

A Warrior/Paladin
2 Warriors/Samurai

Levels ranged between 17 and 22 I believe. Can't be more spoecific because I reformated my hard drive again recently and have not re-installed the game. Shame on me I know LOL but I am pushing this thread to the top so that you can get more info in the Chi and Spellfire Traits. http://www.tgeweb.com/cgi-bin/ubb/no...iles/smile.gif

This will be my starting party

paladin- dwarf of course!
rogue
barbarian
samurai
wizard
cleric

Not totally sure yet. Still have time till the game arrives to decide!

Wyvern 05-01-2001 11:02 AM

hailitho -

Were your party listings what you planned to do with your party?
You can only start with Warriors, Wizards, Rogues and Priests.

Paladin, Barbarian, and Samurai are all elite roles. Your party can change to elite roles after they have joined guilds and complete the quests needed. Paladin and Barbarian you can achieve while still early in the game, but Samurai you will not be able to achieve until you have reached the second village and areas beyond! http://www.tgeweb.com/cgi-bin/ubb/no...iles/smile.gif

Good luck with your party!! (sounds like a great combo)

Davros 05-01-2001 11:07 AM

Yeah Princess, I seem to recall one was called Dude, or was that a few of them http://www.tgeweb.com/cgi-bin/ubb/no...es/biggrin.gif.

OK, I had:
Human male Warrior/Paladin/Samuraii/Ranger/Ninja/Assassin/Zenmaster
Human female Priest/Paladin/Ranger/Ninja/Samuraii/Assassin/Valkyrie
Dwarf male Priest/Warlock/Ninja/Ranger/Samuraii/Assassin
Pixi female Wizard/Warlock/Ranger/Paladin/Assassin
Gourk male Warrior/Ranger/Samuraii/Ninja/Paladin/Assasin
Ratling male Thief/bard/ranger/paladin/samuraii/Assassin

OK, I abused the Assassin's dagger a teensy bit I guess http://www.tgeweb.com/cgi-bin/ubb/no...es/xyxwave.gif

Sazerac 05-01-2001 12:43 PM

You got it, Davros! The 5th! http://www.tgeweb.com/cgi-bin/ubb/no...es/biggrin.gif

-Sazerac (will post later what my "new" party is...solo play was WAAAAAY too easy (not to mention lonely; part of the fun is me 'listening' to what I think they're saying to each other).

mammawlin 05-01-2001 12:45 PM

Currenty am playing with only these two:
Zen = Zenmaster (Formerly known as LindaJ.)
Val = Valkyrie (Formerly known as Amberkins)

I changed their names for the second time through the game. Original, no?

Mammawlin

Sazerac 05-01-2001 12:45 PM

Oh, one other thing...Chi Master can be obtained by Zenmaster, 12th level, with 6th level or higher Bushi Dojo standing. Enlightenment (per Davros, and verified by many) is the same thing, except 18th level Zenmaster.

-Sazerac

Sazerac 05-01-2001 01:31 PM

Mammawlin: Now you need an assassin named "Jessman!" LOL http://www.tgeweb.com/cgi-bin/ubb/no...miles/wink.gif

Ryanamur 05-01-2001 05:01 PM

Just started with a 3 hero party:

1- Ratling Fighter (M-80 attributes) --> Barbarian --> Ninja --> Assassin
2- Wiskahs Priest (F-85 attributes)--> Ranger --> Monk --> Paladin --> Valkyrie
3- Elf Wizard (F-88 attributes)--> Warlock --> Samourai --> Zen Master

Hope this one is going to be fun to play.

Wyvern 05-01-2001 05:20 PM

Looks like a winner to me!!! http://www.tgeweb.com/cgi-bin/ubb/no...iles/smile.gif

Glycerine 05-01-2001 07:25 PM

I'll try and remember....

Male Whiskas Warrior to Samurai
Male Lizzoid Warrior to Barbarian
Female Dwarf Warrior to Paladin
Male Pixie Priest to Monk
Male Ratling Rogue to Ninja
Male Elf Wizard to Warlock

I don't remember their levels...I think they were all around 4-8 because I haven't been playing it that long. Currently the Barbarian and Paladin are the only two who have advanced. I can't do the Samurai one just yet, or the Ninja one. Everyone told me to wait on the Wizard to Warlock because of lack of spells...

Glycerine

P.S. - I'm at work, and I don't remember their names... http://www.tgeweb.com/cgi-bin/ubb/no...iles/smile.gif

Knarfling 05-01-2001 09:24 PM

My last two games have been solo games with the same character.
Elrog/Elf/Wizard/(I don't remember the order, but he was every profession except Monk)/Assisin. Level 133.
The second time, he went through as a Zen Master without ever changing. He is now a 148 level Zen Master.

My next game I am taking only three characters that will not change levels.

Katair/Whiskah/ZenMaster
Elayne/Elf/Valkyrie
Knarf/Ratling/Assassin

Since they cannot change classes, it will limit them a bit. I will also not use any tricks to join a guild that they cannot normally join. I figure this is one way to limit them to see what they can do.

I already have them set up, and will change to the special characters before the start of the next game. I am not sure if I should try for a 200 level Zen Master or quit at 150.

Wyv

Yep, except for the fact that I can't go from Priest to Ranger without cheating or being a paladin first.

I gess the new order for my priest is going to be

Priest, Warlock, Paladin, Valkyrie

Now she's legit.

Davros 05-02-2001 06:13 AM

It depends why you can't make Ranger - is it the attributes, or simply because you aren't in the Warrior's guild. The second doesn't require a cheat, you simply take the paladin quest, join the warrior guild (which you can then do for a paltry sum), then simply cancel the paladin quest and take the ranger one. That isn't cheating in my book, that is simply what happened to me in RL -make a poor career choice, it costs you some money to make a fresh start, then take the new path when you see more clearly.

All the best

Yes, I know I can do that, but I want to play by only going into careers that you can join at a guild. Then, once you've attained your new path, join the other guild. It's my second time around and I just want to make it as legit as possible.
