Who is it? I say Dynaheir..

Sometimes, I tend to click her picture a few extra times to hear those softly spoken words. "Whatever thou need". (?)

If you judge by the looks only, there isnt much to dance for in BG1. In that department, I´d say Imoen, Jaheira or Skie.

SixOfSpades 10-09-2002 12:47 PM

I'm not taken with Dynaheir's looks, voice OR personality. For best-lookin' portrait, I'd say either Safana or Skie....I can't think of any really likable female voice/personalities, as they all seem to have gone to the male Mages, such as Quayle, Edwin & Xan.

I wish my name was Baggins 10-09-2002 01:28 PM

Although this question troubles me I would have to say for looks alone Jaheria

Telchar of Nogrod 10-09-2002 03:55 PM

I really like the Sirens. There's something really sexy about them. Because they are so dangerous, there is some fear and excitement, kinda thrilling. I've always liked the exotic chicks. Hey, wait a minite, am I on the right forum?

pritchke 10-09-2002 04:00 PM

Safana would be my pick, her voice sends shivers down my spine every time she speakes and I become entranced and forget what I am doing.

ryaldin 10-09-2002 04:11 PM

Well despite the entrancing effects of the bitmap images...er, i mean LADIES of Baldur's Gate, I can't say that I've ever been carried away by thier .wav files...um, er, FEMININE CHARMS...er somthing.

This topic is disturbing.

Lord Brass 10-09-2002 05:02 PM

They are all disturbed ryaldin. However, I tend to agree with Six' on this, as Safana tends to annoy me after a while. Dynaheir's a competent enough mage and that'll do for me. Branwen isn't too bad I suppose. As for Viconia, she's...just strange I guess. All that nonsense about Shar. Give it a rest love.

Not to be taken too seriously, ryaldin.

Speech files you can choose for your own female characters are terrible, that´s true.

SixOfSpades 10-09-2002 06:16 PM

I'm with you, Lord Brass--to me, Safana isn't sexy at all: She's a flaming slut, which doesn't interest me in the least.

All of the female NPCs are too wrapped up in their primary personality trait to have anything left over for the rest of their character. All of the Priests rarely say anything not related to their god and how he/she feels about things, Safana is the hormone queen, Shar-Teel's only emotions are bloodlust and penis contempt, Skie's a spoiled pansy, Alora's too overdosed on Prozac to even make sense, and Imoen and Dynaheir hardly even have personalities at all.

For an interesting Female, I'd say Mazzy, a Halfling Fighter in BG2. I don't understand why she does that with her hair, but she has a nice voice and she expresses a variety of opinions.

Lord Brass 10-09-2002 07:25 PM

AS to Mazzy I'm afraid I cannot express a valid opinion. The female characters in BG1 are pretty poor. If you have Coran in the group it isn't too bad - for a while at least - but even that wears thin. A shame really, as you cannot help but wonder if they weren't going to go to so much effort, why bother to include female NPCs at all. Some half decent gender-related differences of approach would've been nice.

Sorcerer Alex 10-09-2002 10:15 PM

Skie

Keraptisdm 10-10-2002 01:49 PM

Kobolds and Xvarts!! j/k
The only ones I've had in my parties have been Imoen, Jaheira, Dynaheir, JetLaya (DSOTSC), and Brawen. I wanted to stuff a kobold tail down the throats of Jaheira and Brawen. Dynaheir was too highbrow for me. That leaves Imoen and JetLaya, so I go with JetLaya.

Grimslade 10-11-2002 09:31 AM

Safana. Her voice melts me, and her portrait looks pretty. I don't think she is a slut. She just knows what to say to get her way.

What about the ditzy chick who lost her book at the beginning of the game. Pretty, not too bright, throws gems in your direction if you're cute...sounds like a good sugar momma to me.

Keraptisdm 10-11-2002 10:58 AM

Speaking of female NPC's in the game, what about that drunk woman in Field Post's Inn, that comes up to you, and asks you to join her, then disappears. Anyone ever find her again? (Was her name Lydia?) She was dressed as a noble woman.
And Mr. Baggins, doesn't that girl at Candlekeep turn into a (whisper, whisper, whisper) in the later chapters?

I wish my name was Baggins 10-12-2002 03:12 PM

Yeah she sure does but that is nothing that a bag over her head wouldn't cure. LMAO

She's actually supposed to be an old lady... ie. a 'grandmotherly' type figure. You find this out in Chapter six when you...

*SPOILER*

Return to Candlekeep and talk to her ;)

Lord Brass 10-12-2002 08:33 PM

HA! Well done Arledrian, that'll ruin the notion for a few of 'em. Sugar mommas indeed.

We didn't mention Aerie, Nalia, et.al. in this thread simply because this forum is for discussions about BG1, not BG2. That's all. Some of the folks here have not played BG2 yet, so shhhhhh. :D

You wouldn't want to forget the courtesan in Beregost.

Or even better is the Ginger or Mary Ann debate...

Keraptisdm 10-22-2002 08:59 AM

Mary Ann. She is so kind, helpful, pretty and always looking out for others. Similar to the members of the B.Y.O.B. :D

I wish my name was Baggins 10-22-2002 10:40 AM

LAUGHING MY A$$ OFF Keraptisdm...How true how true...I know that this is again off topic but did you all know that the characters of the seven castaways on Gilligans Island were based on the seven deadly sins from the bible?
Mr. Howell-Greed
Ginger-vanity
Skipper-Gluttony
etc etc etc

Brought to you by Mr. Underhill, your complete source of worthless trivia.

SixOfSpades 10-22-2002 12:54 PM

Well, then who the heck were Anger and Lust?

think about it, the professor was lust, why do you think he couldn't put a patch on the boat, because he hadn't gotten to score with mary-ann, when he did he built a giant raft out of the huts and things and got everyone off the island during a storm (the final movie)

Keraptisdm 11-01-2002 01:37 PM

So we have determined that the sexiest female NPC in Baldurs Gate is Mary Ann from Gilligan's Island? The next topic of discussion will be the blondes from "I Dream of Jeanie" vs "Bewitched"; who would be working in the undercellars at the Blushing Mermaid?

Kormar the Wanderer 11-03-2002 03:36 AM

Hmm. Noone has mentioned Viconia yet?

Most likely because Viconia is anything but sexy, at least in BG1. Have you seen her picture? She looks like a demented Half-Orc on speed.

Grungi 11-04-2002 07:22 AM

demented halforc on speed might be attractive to some people (possibly only to other demented halforcs )

LOL. Another good one, Grungi. :D
They improved Viconia's portrait in BG2, but the BG1 one left a lot to be desired.

Grungi 11-04-2002 09:23 AM

mmmmmmmm demented halforcs, its the knobbly green skin i like, its like a ribbed condom for the ladies ;)

Kormar the Wanderer 11-06-2002 03:49 AM

Probably thinking of the BGII pic. It's been a while since I played BG: TotSC...

Grungi 11-06-2002 06:22 AM
