I thought it might be interesting to poll the forum and get an idea of the musical diversity we have represented amongst the forum goers. Please list your top 5 favorite albums (and up to THREE honorable mentions if desired.) Please don't list the same artist more than once, for variety's sake, and no "Best of", "Greatest Hits", etc. Here are mine, in order: (After much delibiration and difficult decision making)

The Beatles Revolver
Pink Floyd The Wall
Radiohead Ok Computer
Simon & Garfunkel Bridge over Troubled Water
R.E.M. Automatic for the People

Honorable mentions:
The Kinks The Kinks are the Village Green Preservation Society
The Rolling Stones Beggar's Banquet
The Jefferson Airplane Crown of Creation

Thanks for your contributions!

Are you still online?

freudianslip 12-15-2000 06:34 PM

I am now. Why does noone answer my posts anymore? I feel I have the "Brand of Ill Omen" placed unceremoniously upon me. Hmm....

Lily the Ranger 12-16-2000 12:48 AM

It is hard to choose between five.

I am no going to totally ignore the rules since most of what I listen to is either soundtracks or best of.

1. Soundtrack from (hereafter stf) Beaches (Baby mine and the glory of love favorites)
2. STF Commitments (take me to the river and chain of fools)
3. STF Dream a Little Dream (MIA right now ) (love the song Rock on and also Rock your gypsy soul)
4. Gordon's Gold by Gordon Lightfoot (Bitter Green and If You Could Read My Mind Love)
5. Best of *dodges rotten apples and cabbages* the Nylons (Poison Ivy and The Lion Sleeps tonight)

HM
1. Six Pence None the Richer (Kiss me)
2. STF Immortal Beloved
3. STF Swing Kids

Okay, now I have missed my workout window so if that doesn't show I luv ya . . . nothing will!

Who can forget Staddler Bro "Counting Flowers on the Wall."

THE_ONE 12-16-2000 06:02 PM

Gosh - freudianslip, that is a difficult decision! OK, after a lot of indecision I came up with the following order:
1.) Queen - A Kind of Magic (for the Wizards among us)
2.) George Michael - Listen Without Prejudice
3.) Elton John - Goodbye Yellow Brick Road
4.) Eurythmics - Revenge
5.) Dire Straits - Brothers in Arms (for the Warriors among us)

I skip the Honorable mentinos, it is impossible to select another three from all the music I like so much.
