i am the most impatient player i know, and WHY FOR THE LOVE OF GOD do the characters in BGI walk so much slower than in BGII?
Its driving me nuts! |
p.s. i apologize if i spelled impatient wrong
Your spelling is correct. The characters don't walk slower in BG1; they walk faster in BG2. Shame on you for playing them in the wrong order, you've just spoiled the whole plot of BG1 for yourself. Now I get to beat you over the head with a large salami. Come back here!
For Punishment you must chop down the mightiest tree in the forest wiiiiiiiith....A HERRING
Then he must build you...a shrubbery!
Lord Brass the shrubbery comes first then the herring. If he skipped to the herring you can't go back to the shrubs. But, I can offer you a good deal on a video covering the many uses of coconuts. Perhaps a video on the migratory paterns of the African Swallow?
Silly Firestormalpha! African swallows are non-migratory!
Yeah playing BG1 first is the best idea. In fact I just completed it last night :D its taken a good amount of my time up, but it was sooooo satisfying to beat the final boss, I didnt know till like the 5th attempt that killing the main would finish the battle, I kept going after that damm mage who kept casting chaos!
And now I got Tales Of The Sword Coast to do and then onto BG2, just wondering - does BG2 wrap up the whole story or is it like BG1 and leave you waiting for a sequel?? |

ROFLMAO. Makes me want to RUN AWAY!
Actually the characters walk at the same speed, but a warp in the space/time continum gives the appearance that they are walking slower in BG1. This illusion was first performed by David Copperfield at the Mirage, Las Vegas in 1987. Asking for volunteers from the audiance, a group of high school sophmores went onto the stage. Copperfield performed the illusion, and the students appeared to slowly walk off the stage and returned to their jobs at the McDonalds in Warrenton, Virginia. It is at this McDonalds where one can wait so long for a hamburger that.... |
WHAT??? Ridden on a Horse???? You've got two empty halves of coconuts and you're banging them together..
YER ALL CRAZY! (like me:-D) nah fer real tho, i was playing BGII and i liked it so much that i looked around and found the 1st one (it was VERY HARD for me to find) so i ended up playing BG II first by default. I've been beaten with a salami before its kinda fun actually, especially if yer hungry. I think I'll be dead, deceased, pushing up daisies, dead and gone and etc etc etc until i get all those quests from the city out of my hair. EVERYBODY seems to want me to do something for them in Baldur's Gate. Kinda makes me wonder how they ever got along without me
I was reading this, and I just had to reply, when I first played BG1 and went to baldurs gate, i NEVER thought i was gonna ever get to leave there were sssooo many quests available, and me being who i am try to finish every single quest.. in order. Took we as long as the rest of the game did. Mostly because i could never remember where a building was so spent an hour looking for it.

. . . . . . During that time in the city where the guards don't like you, I had the "pleasure" of running from a Flaming Fist, I finally get to the building, go in, and guess what? Wrong building. Back outside, Fist waiting for me, start running again while trying to find blasted building. Benny Hill music playing in background the whole time. :D |
thats my biggest problem! you;d think that they would have the map icons like in BG2 but nooooooooo they like the keystonery
