The dialogue in BG1 is sometimes so very funny. Just thinking about some of them make me laugh. I can't remember it right now, but Minsc has that pricless line he uses when he is very happy, usually after you kill a baddie. I can't remember because I'm playing a self made party right now. My favorite line is -

"Get me out of this Hell hole."

It's when your having those oh so special days at work/school that you hear it in your head. Of course, with most of the good lines, it's the delivery. I hope you enjoy the dialogue as much as I do!

my favorite line is when to are talking to melicamp the chicken and you ask how he got into that "foul" condition. a very bad joke but still quite funny.

Minsc RARELY says this in-game. It's one of his four "random comments" lines. However, if you go to FilePlanet and download the Minsc Groove (I think it's in another batch of zipped sound files on FP), you'll hear it ~25 seconds into the song.

I heard that one night before I went to bed at the dorm...wanted to see if my files downloaded okay before shhutting downfor the night...I laughed so hard I woke my roommate up, and that's hard to do...

Also, for laughs, Khalid. When he's fully decked out in Plate Mail+3, with a Long Sword +2 and a Shield +3 and he still gets scared s***less by a kobold!

I have Xzar and Danyheir in my party. At times when the action is slow and we are just exploring an area she will say something along the lines of,"Please get thee upwind, it is hard to cast spells whilst I gag". Xzar replies"Speak no more, lest ye gorge my sweet tooth" or "I will not take this abuse from you you scandoulous harlet". I really recommend having 5 good or neutral party members and one evil one if you want to hear some funny dialouge.

One of the lines i like is actually from the NPC smith in Beregost when you go to talk to him he says " I can getcha whatever ya need for a wweee bit more than my compitetion."

i like it when you speak to perdue in bergost and he asks u to get his short sword back from a gnoll for 50g, wipe its arse with it and u reply " for 50g it can wipe it,s own arse with it".

Did any of you ever heard the town crier of Beregost say, at a certain moment;

"I'm actually quite shy"

I only heard it once and I have played the game several times;

Furthermore, I believe Xzar outrules Minsc:

"I wanted infravision like the elves...

But 't is more than just taking their eyes"

or

"I've seen dragons with feet like rabbits; 't is true I swear!"

One of the weirdest lines i heard is from a guy in a inn room upstairs..forgot the name it has the paladin with the half ogre story and the dwarf who had his cloak stolen...anyway the guy is paranoid about the paladin staring at him with 'those' eyes and his last line is something like "research proves that playing with a barrel full of monkeys is quite dangerous and is horrifying" its along the lines of that. if anyone knows what it is tell me please! because the guy talks to you after like nothing happened.
The best bit about it though is the protoganists reply
"Ooooooohhhhhhhhh Kaaaaaaaaaaaayyyyyyyy!"

The lines the Courtesans in Beregost say when you click on them. :D

I think most of the NPCs lines are funny... Jaheria... when you continually click on her... haha. "Ach What is it now? Need you're pantaloons pressed?" lol, and "If a tree falls in the forest.... I'll kill the bastard what done it" thats hilarous. Sarevok's funny too...

This was a conversation with a gnome outside Baldurs Gate who wants to join the party and is one of my faviourite lines in the game.

Gnome-Hey ho there fellow travellers! You look to be wandererd of the adventure sort. Tell me, what direction calls you?

Me-I am procedding in a northerly direction this day.

Gnome-it is the same as I! Surley this lends us a familiar bond of sorts. The smart move would be to travel as one, especially with the number of bandits in the area. You probably need the counter-balance of my intelligence as well.

Me-No, and dont call me Shirley.

Hahah I cracked up big time over this, and sat there laghing like a maniac while my parents looking at me weirdly.

One of the best lines that I've heard is from a guy in BG City.

I remember that one too. I was ROFL at that one. My wife just raises her eyebrow at me whenever these things happen.

In one game I ended up fighting Marl the Drunk at Fieldpost's Inn. When finished, I clicked on his drunk friend, who said something to the effect of "Don't click on me. I don't want any trouble." :D

and the dialogue you have with tiax. it's somtheing to the effect of,"
