Ok so im on the 3rd lower floor, the one with the doors and the dusty books, ive opened the first 2 doors, fought the dopplegangers, and now im stumped what do i do now, i cant seem to get the other doors open and i cant find any new switches....

Giga there are massive amounts of posts on Durlag's tower. I think next time you should look around before starting a whole new thread.

That's odd. It works on my comp. Anyway, just go to www.gamefaqs.com. Then type in Tales of the Sword Coast. Then click on FAQ's. Choose the one by DSimpson. It is the best one. Trust me. It should have the info you need.

Auril, it seems fine to link to their home, but not to link directly into the FAQ's.

fight the first dopple go across the hall fight the second, hit the red armour in the middle once to open the next door, kill the 3 dopples there (avoiding the traps that will hit you soon as fight begins) then once they are dead move to the throne pick the item up, activates next door, go through it and hit the teleporter once you pick up the teleport rune from the rock, then carry on [img]smile.gif[/img] (dont whatever you do return to the surface then come back as if you do i think its impossible to continue)

That may be true, but what's more often reported is that the doors will stay open--for a few hours. So you can run back upstairs to drop off your loot, but do not Rest while you're up there, or it's said that when you come back down, the doors will have shut again, and you'll be unable to trigger them to re-open.

A way to get around the bug is to use the cntrl+j ? cheat to move to cursor, as from what I've heard it's only the doors at the bottom of the steps when you enter the level that freeze up...

The Ctrl-? cheats are only implemented in BG2, sorry. Press Ctrl-J in BG2 and you'll be immediately teleported to your Journal. :D
