OK, I've never really given it a thought before, but now after seeing Dundee's post <a href=http://www.ironworksforum.com/ubb/noncgi/ultimatebb.php?ubb=get_topic;f=2;t=025578#000010>h ere</a>, I thought why not give it a try, might actually be fun seeing how fights go on when two (or more!) people control different characters at same time.

So anyone cares to join me for a multiplayer game? At least give it a try. IWD or IWD2. I'd prefer IWD2 due to more freedom in creating characters, but would try IWD as well. Or BG1 or BG2 (though I prefer IWD for linearity, so there is no arguing of "where shall we go next".) You can be the decision maker if you want.

If I were to join I would have some time problems, too... Besides I've never got MP to function...

I have always wanted too, and at present have IWD all installed with all mods, and there would be no time problems due to location, ZFR, only one or maybe 10 questions, how do you go about it???

I should have added the only problem might be my wife, and her view of being on the PC endlessly for days. ;)

I'm going to Poland for two days will be back on wednesday 28th june at night. Starting from Thursday onwards I'm ready to play.

I'm working and genearally finish around 3-6pm depending on shift. So maybe we could play an hour or two in the evening some days? When are you usually free? I'm sure we can arrange some time to suit us both, not necessarily everyday, could be two, three days per week.

As to how to go about it my idea is each of us creates two characters and we play with a 4 character party (anorther idea would be 1 character each, this way you only control 1 character throughout the game, but maybe 2 characters for whole party is too little). I think it would be fun if none of us knew beforehand what characters the other person is creating, like in real life you don't know whom youre going to meet.
The we play it out. Since both of us finished the game, we can rush through dialogues and so on. Since IWD is very linear there should be no arguments on what course of action to take. We can figure out what items each of us takes, what to buy etc as we play along.
It would be good if we're able to be on some voice chat if possible.

There is just one thing. I haven't tried any mods and would like to try them singleplayer before I do in MP. If it would be possible for you to make a clean install (iwd+how+Totlm) and play with that? Or maybe you can play IWD2?

Anyway, if youre still interested I could drop you a line on 28th when I'm back so we can arrange it.

Thursday I am working a back shift so will not be able to start then, the best days for me are monday through to wed or thurs depending on shifts, but how do you start it?

I never played multiplayer online myself. We'll just go into voice chat, try and connect in the way the manual says and see how we go from there.

oh and I mean IWD 2 if it's okay.

I cannot wait to see if I can get this up and running, but I have hit a snag(or two),due to staff sickness at my work I am now doing a month of nights starting tonight, so the earliest I will be able to start would be Monday 10th as I will be off for a few days. I would however like to try and get things in place and set up just to start.I am also having problems installing msn messenger but my wife is going to (reluctantly)look into it and she will probably get it working, I do have skype downloaded if that helps as a back up plan, I also do not have a manual due to the second hand nature of my IWD collection. Sorry about this, but I still want to go thru this and have just finished installing IWD2 and had a practice run thru the beginning to try to remind myself of what is going on.

No problem, you may have to talk me thru the connection process, cos as I say I do not have a manual, so it would all be guesswork on my part.

Oh I should say it is 2010 hrs not 2110 as stated in your previous message, if that is cool with you.
