I can't recall if there is a tome of dexterity. Anybody know off the top of their head?? (PLEASE DO NOT TELL ME WHERE TO FIND THIS ITEM!!)
Thanks.

Intimadater 07-07-2002 08:52 AM

Yes, there is a tome of dexterity.

Sir Heinrich Godfrie IV 07-07-2002 10:08 AM

Thank you, that is all that i needed to know.

SixOfSpades 07-07-2002 05:13 PM

Yay! Somebody who hates being spoiled!

Dagorion 07-07-2002 07:14 PM

What tomes are there? Is there one for every stat?

Sir Heinrich Godfrie IV 07-07-2002 07:27 PM

I am 99% sure that every stat has a tome. And I am 99% sure that one or two stats have two tomes... do you follow me?? But you better wait for Six to give the final say on this one.

tonious 07-07-2002 08:43 PM

I am 200% sure that there are tomes for each stat. I am not sure if there are multiples for any of them, though...

Sorcerer Alex 07-07-2002 08:57 PM

There is one tome for strength, one for intelligence, one for constitution, one for charisma, one for dexterity and two or three (depending on whether you have TOTSC) for wisdom.

SixOfSpades 07-08-2002 04:28 PM

Arledrian has it right. There is 1 tome for each stat, plus a second one for Wisdom, in straight BG1. If you have ToSC, you can also find a third Wisdom Tome.

(Almost totally irrelevant trivia question: The road that runs from the Baldur's Gate bridge south through Nashkel can be thought of a dividing line that bisects the Sword Coast right down the middle. How many of the Tomes are to be found East of this line?)

Ein, Uno, One.
I think it's the Tome of Intellegence.

If my memory serves my right stat have the book of dexterety

Wilbur 07-08-2002 10:13 PM

i wish you a lot of luck if you are trying to find the dexterity tome. It took me four games before i found it.

Wilbur 07-08-2002 10:15 PM

And when i finally found it i didnt even care.

SixOfSpades 07-09-2002 06:46 PM

Close, but no cigar, Heinrich!

Is this with or without TotSC installed?
You see, my statement applied to the TotSC. Am I still wrong here?

SixOfSpades 07-10-2002 12:22 AM

There are two answers: One if you have ToSC, and one if you don't. I'd accept either as being correct. It's only a goofy trivia question, anyway.

Thats easy.

Straight BG - Zero tomes East of the road.

TotSC - One tome East of the road.

SixOfSpades 07-10-2002 06:47 PM

Correct. And since it's ToSC that makes the difference, and ToSC adds a Tome of Wisdom, it's safe to deduce which Tome is east of the road.

Dagorion 07-11-2002 02:40 AM

Er... right. Anyway, i have found 3 tomes of wisdom now. I have a wisdom of 20! Im the wisest dwarf in the world!

Midget Gems 07-11-2002 01:41 PM

I'd just like to say that the REAL Tome of Wisdom is to be found on Six-of-Spades website - well done Six.

SixOfSpades 07-11-2002 09:18 PM

HEY--I'm trying to be humble over here, Midget Gems.

Sir Heinrich Godfrie IV 07-12-2002 09:17 AM

I checked out your site Six and would like to rehash what Midget said by saying that Ziroc should grant you moderator status on at least this BG1 forum and possibly even the SoA forum. Keep up the good work!
