He has a quest for you, after you approach him and accuse him of what's happening. He'll deny it, and ask you to do something for him. Do that, then return to him & he'll give you some other info that'll allow you to carry on with the game (essentially, going back to Kuldahar and telling whatshisname, "Nope, Kresselack wasn't behind the trouble").

Hopefully you have a save game prior to the point where you killed Kresselack. If not, your only chance to salvage the game would be to respawn Kresselack using the cheat codes.

xCADAVERx 02-07-2002 08:26 AM

OK..heres were im stuck...i cant get to level 2 of the Tomb of Kresselack. There is no door to get to the top right side of level 1 that i can find...I can see part of a corridor, but cannot find the way into it.

Micah Foehammer 02-07-2002 08:32 AM

Sorry, I misunderstood. The passage way to level two is tough to find - its kind of tucked behind a wall on the right hand side of the corridor where you fought Myrkul's sending. You did kill Myrkul's sending didn't you?

Have you cleared out all of the side passages prior to the double doors before Myrkul et al? There is a key in one of the chambers (last one on the right I think) that will allow access past that door I believe.

xCADAVERx 02-07-2002 08:39 AM

I can see what seems to be a passage into the corridor, but i cant get my guys to walk thru it.

xCADAVERx 02-07-2002 08:42 AM

Theres a coffin lid that stops them from walking thru

xCADAVERx 02-07-2002 08:50 AM

And I cant find a door anyware around Myrkul's Sending.

xCADAVERx,

I am about 10 minutes of gamplay short of having a conversation with Kresselack (sp?), but understand from a post on this forum that it is impossible to get him to attack you (with words, anyway).

I think I know what your problem is: If so, then I had it, too. Read the thread, started by me, entitled "Need Help in Vale of Shadows (spoiler)".

I had about 3 keys plus a skull symbol (Myrkul's something-or-other) after I had defeated Mythos and Myrkul's sending. (Both battles climaxed about where your green box is, in the screen shot you posted.) But I don't think I needed them to go where you evidently want to go.

If you are standing in the big room where the green box is (Where you met Mythos), looking N towards the little room where the Myrkul's sending came from, with your back to the big double doors (and the big pool/pedestal room) to the S; then there are a total of four (4) exits from the room: N, S, NW, and NE. You know about the one to the S, since that is where you came from, and the screen shot also makes it obvious that you have taken the N and the NW exits.

Now, I believe that the entrance to the NE passage is not a secret door, nor any kind of door at all: it is simply an opening that is hidden by other objects, due to the perspective of the game! I looked for the "door" for hours before the guys on this forum helped me realize that I just needed to simply walk up the passageway. The fact that your screen shot shows the NE passageway "lit up" from your party's view, shows that there is NO DOOR to obstruct that view!

If you click where you think your guys should go and they won't go, you are probably clicking on the far corridor wall. Try clicking around lower on the screen than what seems right: low in the black portion that represents the near wall of the corridor, the wall that is blocking your view of the NE corridor floor.

Again, read that thread (still on page 1, as of this writing).

Hope this helps!

Oops! I was mistaken about the position of your green box in the screen shot. Both battles climaxed in the large room where the top left-hand corner of your green box is. This is the same large room from which you access the NW and NE passageways.

NobleNick 02-07-2002 08:58 PM

There is yet another thread, started by a guy that was having your problem. See the thread "Topic: Finding Secret Doors", started by Micalon. It is also on page 1 of this forum, as of the time I am writing this.
