For various reasons, my copy stopped working for a year or two (mainly ocs it was a copy of a copy of teh origanal - don't do this! The discs are rubbish and stop working *grumbles*), and I've only jsut got a new origanal copy (on DVD - no more annoying disc swaps!) and just realised how much I have forgotten... Even the really basic quests are pretty new to me. I had completely forgottten what some areas even look like, and have realised hwo great it is, becasue I feel like I'm playing some bits for the first time.

Can I just ask... I've heard a lot about liches. but I don't ever rememebr finding any. Can anyone give me a basic run down and / or a link to a site which does?
Cheers
DS

there are a few that you come across in later areas

in the unmodded game iirc there are 4 that you have to find in alkathla

do you want clues, vague locations or exact locations?

ZFR 03-01-2007 06:44 PM

wow! I wish it would happen to me.

Dragonshadow 03-05-2007 02:18 PM

Hmmm, a bit of vagueness would be nice. I still know my way around most of the areas (not ToB, it never worked the frist time round), but SoA I know okay.

Armen 03-05-2007 04:43 PM

the 4 unmodded alkathla liches:

3 in sarcophoguses (i?) in basement or otherwise undergound bits

1 behind a secret door

SixOfSpades 03-05-2007 11:24 PM

Sarcophagi.

There are actually as many as 8 Liches in unmodded Athkatla . . . although one of them isn't actually in Athkatla, and two of those appear only as part of certain NPC quests--and one of those is such a pansy, be barely even qualifies as a Lich.

Dragonshadow 03-06-2007 04:12 PM

Eight... Wow. How ocme I only ever found one and a half? (I never found all his bits)

8? ooh - quizzes . . .

hmm?

UE quest - is it tactics that puts the lich there or was it always there - i forget

korgan's quest at a high enough level maybe - seems unlikely . . .

valygar's quest perhaps? i guess the main protagonist is technically

oh dear - 1 flake one out of 4 is rubbish

Dragon Shadow: nice new avatar there - let us know when you get bored looking (there are only two bits by the way)

"Bob"
The presence of the UE Lich is determined by the party's general EXP level.

Andraste 03-08-2007 03:16 AM

Lagole Gon and Nevazaiah are the two I can't place - another hint please?

SixOfSpades 03-08-2007 03:28 PM

Nevazaiah appears as part of Edwin's quests, and is a pathetic excuse for a Lich. Lagole Gon is part of Cernd's quests, and is considerably less pathetic.

Dragonshadow 03-08-2007 03:30 PM

More hints would be very nice, yes

ZFR 03-08-2007 03:43 PM

I'm sure I should know this, but what about "Bob"?

EDIT:
So:
___________________________

Shade Lich
-in the UE area has the golden arms and legs

Elemental Lich
-in bridge district has the golden torso

Kangaxx
-Kangaxx

Shangalar
-in the hidden house BD

Lagole Gon
-Cernd quest

Nevazaiah
-Edwin quest

"Bob"

The presence of the UE Lich is determined by the party's general EXP level.

ergo Bob must be the gates district guy, right?

Also where does the UE Lich appear, other than the shade lich?

Yes, Bob is indeed from the Gates District. He was so named because he is the most frequently bullied Lich in the entirety of SoA.

Even more so than Shangalar.

"Okay. This is what you need to do to get Daystar!"
"Leave me alone, you fools!"

So... a member took pity of the hapless and nameless Lich and gave him the name of Bob. I think it was Illumina who named him, if I am not mistaken. Pretty sure it was a female member that named him.

Cernd's Lich meanwhile, is so unknown because well... when was the last time somebody played with Cernd?

Cheers.

Actually, I thought Bob was just the generic default name for all guys who don't have names. "Hello, I have no name, and therefore my name is Bob."

The UE Lich can appear in the "indoors" area of the Undead Town section of the Pit of the Faithless.

Found it. It was Pirengle who named him, under her old account.
