does anyone no where shar-teel is im at the mines and i just wanted to know where she is even if i am very far away from her.
i have heard she is is gud can anyone tell me more bout her.

She is at an area north of Gullykin Village (it is on the eastern side of the map)

This might be a spoiler so I have given forewarning.

The area where Shar-Teel is located is also littered with basillisks. If you're not careful you'll be turned to stone, so keep a wary eye for them. They make a squishy clicking sound, and if you hear a sreech and a *shhheeerrrr* sound...well you better enjoy having pigeons crap on you.

Shar-teel is an excellent choice. SHe's the best fighter for the following two reasons:
1- She can lead your party better than any man [img]graemlins/bunny.gif[/img]
2- She doesn't have time to bleed [img]graemlins/bunny.gif[/img]

BONUS REASON:
Because "men are pathetic" [img]graemlins/bunny.gif[/img]

Also, she's valuable later in the game, if you ever get captured by Angelo, he will set you free because she is in the group.

When you enter the zone she is in the north east justa bit south of the corner there. You can get to her without any trouble normally I only run into our little goul play toy on my way to her. She is great beats the hell out of of the guys also nice when you are playing evil. Ug you guys think you have it bad try playing BG II and having to deal with that silly puppy Anomen all the time.

Hey, male gamers dislike Anomen too, you know. And who says you have to have him in your party at all?

Getting back to the subject of Shar-Teel, I found her personality a bit grating at times, even in my Evil game. Here she is, in a party led by a male (with 18 INT and 18 WIS, thank you very much) and with males filling the roles of Tank, primary Mage, and primary Thief, calling all of them a "useless male dung heap." Well, okay, why not just set her out in the woods with only Viconia to depend on, and see how far she gets. I bet that Kagain, Montaron, Xzar and I could get a lot further. Slanderous harlot. I'll show HER not to mock me.

STATISTICALLY Shar-Teel is good. High strength and all. But honestly, you can do better. Shar-Teel is the most annoying character in any game I have ever seen (yes IMO worse than Anomen). A much better choice would be Minsc. He's a Neutral Good Human Ranger, higher strength (18/93), higher constitution, and I'm not sure about Dex. And he's less annoying, really entertaining actually (I'm armed to the teeth and packing a HAMSTER!!! hehe). If you have an evil party Shar-Teel might be a better choice but I still can't stand her...

I think it's so funny that you hate her so much and love Minsc. I am the exact opposite (god, I hate his sound set. I'd rather clean the cat box with my eyebrows than listen to him yell "butt kicking for goodness!"). Characters like these are love/hate, I think. It's probably her sound set that offends the mostly male demographics that play CRPGs. [img]graemlins/bunny.gif[/img]

I wonder... if Shar's stats were transposed to a male NPC of good alignment, would she still be so unpopular? What do you think?

On a side note, I was hoping that having Safana and Shar in the same party would lead to them bickering since they have very opposite opinions about men. What a bummer [img]graemlins/bunny.gif[/img] they didn't put something like that in. I'd have liked to have seen them turn purple and have a big argument. That would have been so much fun!

I never take it personally when Shar-Teel gets on her 'Woman's Lib' soapbox, I figure she only refers to the men in BG1/TOTSC. From looking at the dialog in the BG Guide (by Dan Simpson) it appears that Shar-Teel hates Eldoth's attitude and they could even start fighting.

I had the 2 of them in my party for a short time but nothing happened, then I had to split them up because I needed Yeslick for my role-playing goal. Has anyone had these two fight it out- Katherine how about you? The dialog between them looks really good.

No, I walked them around the realms waiting for the fight, but it never came. I was disappointed. Quayle was leading the party, too, so it definitely wasn't due to the party leader being too charismatic.

I think I'm about done with playing solo games with BG, though, so I don't think I'll ever get to see that fight.
