*mild SPOILERS* given that you know who Yakman is...
. . . . . I just noticed that one of dialogue options for Yakman after you cast Heal on him (at which point you find out his name is actually Tamorlin) is along the lines of "why don't you join me?". I think it'd be kinda cool if there were a recruitable NPC in the middle of Watcher's Keep, so I'm hoping somebody might make him a recruitable NPC. Not sure what he'd be - he apparently fell victim to Feeblemind, so I'm guessing he wouldn't have the best saves. Also, he has a (plain) Longsword in his "tent" (which is trapped, which presumable he set), so I'm thinking Fighter/Thief. Might be a good opportunity for a Good party to recruit an advancable ToB Thief. - Imrahil |
Not another whiney guy! :D

Heh - he's not all that whiny after you Heal him, though...

It sounds like a good idea to me, Imrahil. A recruitable Yakman/Tamorlin would be really cool.
As to his class, BioWare actually gave him one. According to Infinity Explorer, Tamorlin is a lvl 20 Berserker, Lawful Neutral of alignment. His stats are: 18/50 Str 19 Con 13 Dex 9 Int 9 Wis 9 Cha I wonder how they managed a 19 Con and 13 Dex on an Elf, though... Anyway, his saving throws are (since you pointed it out ): Death/Poison/Paralyzation: 3, Wand/Staff/Rod: 5, Polymorph/Petrification: 4, Spells: 6, Breath: 4. ;) |
Thats quite interesting Yakman would make a good NPC I reacon he'd get on well with Jan.

Oh please...spare me the headache

LOL I see what you mean but when you cast Heal or something on him he becomes sane but I wouldnt really want the hassle of getting rid of one of my other NPCs.
|
Sounds like a good idea, but I don't know how long he'd stay sane :D Though I don't really think this is the place to talk about creating mods, here is a Forgotten Wars forum where there are plenty of mod makers so drop by and share it.

PC would be a Chaotic Neutral Wild Mage Haer'Dalis is also CN Anomen can flip out as well we need a female.....Viconia goes through some rather drastic mood swings? Xzar is available with TDD |
I dunno how long He'd last in my party, Kaldorn probably praying for his soul while Sarevok gets ready to remove Yakmans head! While Yakman chases Boo around trying to eat Him while Minsc stands around talking as if Boo is there talking Him what a clever giant space Hamster he is for going invisable!

as far as a crazy female for the party, how about edwina ;) (I know his... afliction is cleared up by the time you get to ToB, but you can do watchers keep in SoA)
as far as him remaining sane, Heal permanently removes any infirmity of the mind or body (curing damage -until it is dealt again, healing all insanities, reoving scars, etc), given the proper stimuli he could go insane again, but it would be a new condition, not likely to have the same effects, unless all stimuli were identical |
You know... you COULD make Tamorlin a Wild Mage, thus making a Wild Mage NPC that is conspicuous by his/her absence. Just an idea.
