We've had hate already, so lets go with something more nicer.

1. Cespenar, useful, funny
2. Your Player character, he can be made toward your preferences so I dont why you can exclude him, also he is the child of a god, the whole story is about him so without him you wouldnt have this game.
3. Can include Keldorn, Edwin, imoen, etc...
4. I found that alot of people like Bodhi
5. The 7 guys at the ending of Bg2, I dono why, I just like the way they talk.
6. Sarevok, in Bg1 not Tob, cool armor, the ultimate bad guy
7. The 3 friendly monsters in Bg1, dono if you remember them but they give you their signature.
8. ...I dono, who am I forgetting?

Cecil 06-07-2002 11:21 PM

Boo, and his giant space ranger! :D

hermit09 06-08-2002 02:03 AM

Minsc is great. His conversation with the pirate captain in Brynnlaw (itīs Brynnlaw, isnīt it?) had me laughing my head off. I also love Imoen and the way she manages to find the humor in everything. Also, I confess to being a fan of Jaheira.

Jan Jansenīs also very funny, but Iīve never actually had him all the way through the game, and Korgan is probably the only evil character I really like. His "I hate Amn. I hate the heat, the squalor, the desperation..." line cracked me up. But Iīve never kept him in my party all through the game, either.

Cristian 06-08-2002 12:17 PM

i think minsc and cespanar he sounds so fun when he talks=)

Jaegan 06-09-2002 01:21 AM

Oh I forgot that beholder at the sahugin place and the dungeon of sendai

Asynca 06-09-2002 03:41 AM

Viconia - woman and men alike are attracted to the psychotic bitch, plus she's a VERY USEFUL cleric.

My personal faves:
Imoen (ONLY FROM BG2!)- what can I say, she's my one true love, plus some of her one-liners are funny (Her reply to Aran's question to how she is *still* cracks me up every time). Pop her avatar in armour and droooooooool....

Yoshimo - his exclamations are HILARIOUS, even if he can't hang around.

I have a... a Heroine addiction.

shadowhound 06-09-2002 05:23 AM

Fave characters...

Edwin - He has the same sort of biting arrogent sarcasm that i use i real life.

Jan Jansen - Oh god he is funny especially the interactions between him and Minsk

Dashael 06-09-2002 05:45 AM

Imoen (both games, although she was hard to keep alive in BG1)
Coran (BG1 not his pathetic cameo in BG2)
Garrick (Brave Brave Sir Garrick, Sir Garrick Ran Away!)
Minsc & Boo (It's just wrong to consider them not two parts of one character)
Tiax ("When Tiax rules britches shall not ride up so wedge-like")

Calaethis Dragonsbane 06-09-2002 05:50 AM

bah! who *cares* about the most liked charater?! its easier to hate others. (lol; at least in the game). there are several favourite characters of mine, does it matter who is the most liked? I suppose, you could include Lilacor, well its senicent, if not 'educated', or should that be 'no formal edumacation'?. I would say that the talking swords a character too, and one of the most entertaing. espeacailly the talk about the rich man and the dragon...

"Find a rich man and kill him! Then find another rich man and kill him too! hack and slash your way to fortune, woohoo!"

"Oh there has *got* to be lots to kill down here, just pick a direction and start swinging!"

Glorfindel 06-09-2002 06:41 AM

I quite like Cespenar... hes not bad

Lanthir 06-10-2002 04:34 AM

well Jan get my vote with Minsc second
and ina non speaking role the award goes to Boo ( there is something cute and cuddly about the little furry guy:) )

Ar-Cunin 06-10-2002 04:56 AM

The three creturea from BG1 are Larry, Larry and Darryl

--------------

Spectator Beholder "so .... Boo!"

Imoen

Minsc and Boo

Jan Jansen

Neeber and Noober :D - I know that they are irritating, but still...

Leofric the Unsteady 06-10-2002 05:03 AM

I am.
Leo

Tanoch Thas'ala 06-12-2002 11:41 AM

Sarevok. He's a badarse in BG1 and even more so in ToB.

Viconia. Better cleric than Branwyn in BG1 and a lot easier to take then Sea Anemone in BG2/ToB

Shar-Teel in BG1...she was psycho!

Cecil 06-12-2002 03:21 PM

rofl, I had forgotten about the beholder in Sahugin (sp). I'd have to definatly say he was a high point of humor in the game.

TheGrandSlayer 06-13-2002 11:28 AM

YEAH!the beholder in the sahuagin place..."My master yelled "MY CHEST!" but at that time a spear was being thrusted through his cheast but I thought he ment this chesrt so..."
and
"Oh you want to see the thing I'm gaurding eh?!?!?Just because a beholder is gaurding it means its gotta be cool hmmm!?!?!"
That dude always cracked me up :D

Witchhunter 06-16-2002 05:44 PM

Hmmm interesting question, I would say: Minsc is awesome, I actualy like Aerie too with her innocent ways, Jan is great, I love his stories and monologues, he cracks me up. Viconia is cool, ok she is evil, but I reckon she got her reasons seeing she ain't been treated very well by others. Sarevok is cool too, shrouded in evil.

Asynca 06-17-2002 09:44 PM

I thought the Spectator in Sendai's Lair was pretty funny as well.

The Jabberwocky 06-17-2002 10:21 PM

I like Minsc, Korgan, Jan, and Sarevok. :D And Cespenar is funny.

Arnabas 06-18-2002 11:11 AM

Am I the only one who finds Cespenar INCREDIBLY annoying?

Not really the only one. I konda like the little guy, but a while back there was a massive posting solely on the subject of hating/loving Cespenar.

Ooh....shiny ones

ZFR 06-19-2002 04:13 AM

i also liked the troll cook in winspear ruins... lol

Orion 06-23-2002 03:13 AM

I like Tiax for some reason, to bad he can't join the party...hehe.
Tiax rules all!!

Close,
There's Larry, his brother Darryl, and his other brother Darryl.

Can't he join in BGI, in the Flaming Fist area?

LOVED Cespenar!! Nalia was my fav mage.

Slightly off topic, but anyone here familiar with the Harry Potter series think the voice of Cespenar would have made for a great Doby the House Elf?
Tiax was the talking goul right? If so he just follows your party for 500 s then attacks you ... I did feel bad putting that sword through his throat though.

hermit09 06-26-2002 02:12 AM

Tiax is the insane cleric of Cyric-Thief from BG1. He appears briefly in BG2 and canīt join. The Talking Ghoul appeared in BG1. I think his name was Korax.

I'm with you! God knows I tried to kill that guy!

For most liked NPCs I'd probably go with The Spectator, Edwin (yeah baby!) and Sarevok in ToB (Maybe he hardly said anything but he just had that 'cool' factor)

Alisttair 06-26-2002 09:05 AM

Xan is pretty interesting (BG1). He's got a cool blue flame glowing Moonblade and his enchanting magic goes well for his lack of confidence in himself and the rest of the party and his lack of motivation. "We're all doomed" "Oh what is the point"

XAN

Oops that's right. I was thinking of Korax sp? Been a looong while! 8)

Sean 06-29-2002 01:26 AM

The freindly ogre (whos name escapes me) that is alledgedly killing everyone and ends up protecting the village. Th name of the village also escapes me.
Aerie until she buggered off after I slipped her a length.

Fiend 07-08-2002 05:27 AM

Dragons in SOA and TOB are definately my favourites! They give you a challenge and most of them give you Dragon scales which can be made into some of the best armour!

Calaethis Dragonsbane 07-08-2002 07:30 AM

hmm... a pity that someone could 'piece' all those dragon scales together, to create a suite that is resistant to *all* dragons breath, ;) so long as you have all the scales... hmm, would be cool, a multi coloured shimmering suite of armour... *dramily imagines one*

A1C_Dark-Void 07-09-2002 06:56 AM

BLAH!!!! Gorion rocked in BG1 he was just likable in the beggining, to bad he died. But in BG2 I think I liked the squirls... they were cool.

Althalon the Traveler 07-09-2002 11:13 PM

Garrick NPC was my favorite from BG1, but i liked those 3 friendly monsters too, they gave me an autograph
and Edwin was my fav from BG2
The invincible squirrel from Icewind Dale (in Easthaven, the one the kids are standing around)

Galadria 07-11-2002 09:36 AM

Is anyone surprised that I like Imoen the best, with Viconia a close second?

Mr-Creed 07-12-2002 09:08 AM

Noober? I suppose he could get a *bit* annoying though ;)

Dragonbreath 07-12-2002 04:27 PM

Sarevok, mostly because he is the best fighter in the game...

Attalus 07-13-2002 04:04 PM

Sarevok? I cn't stand to have him in my party. He glare and complains too much. VICONIA...VICONIA...VICONIA...THE DEVIR IS MY DEAR!!!!

Legolas The Magnificent 07-16-2002 08:06 AM

The Imp in the elemental level in watcher's keep is the bomb! " He's even willing to stay there for a thousand year, just to please his masters! SWWWWWEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEETTTTTT hehehe.
