Yeah, Sarevok is good. But I would kepp your party as it is, cause Sarevok wont probably fit in so good beeing Chaotic Evil... ;)

Tanoch Thas'ala 05-01-2002 12:53 PM

Sarevok worked in my similar party..I would kick out Aerie. Sarevok is just a damn fine Fighter to give up..

Dreamer128 05-01-2002 01:03 PM

He's definatly the best fighter in the game. Even beats my PC(Which is almost impossible since he has 19 in str and con and uses HA+5!)
A must have.

TheThing 05-01-2002 01:18 PM

if he is the same in the last dungeon of SoA, then he is DEFINITELY the best fighter around. but if he is a tune-downed version, then I am really not sure.

I mean, doesnt he have like 250 HP? thats too much...

No Seravok is evil ;)

But seriously, I would kick out Keldorn and keep Aerie since you can never have too many mage spells at your disposal.

Otherwise: I'm missing a spoiler tag in this thread too.

You can change Sarevok's alignment to Chaotic Good if you play your cards right.

I am playing Baldur's Gate 1 at the moment and I must say... I feel pissed against Sarevok for killing Gorion. Now that I have, I guess I am no longer recruiting him, no matter how good his statatics are.

nightshift001 05-03-2002 01:14 AM

stats aside you just cant go past that deathbringer assault dundee.....
also arent good alignments always supposed to give everyone a 2nd chance even if it is your twisted evil half brother...:)

Daniel 05-03-2002 06:56 AM

Sarevok is one fine character

First point I should mention is his alignment he's Chaotic Evil, but dont let this worry you he will never leave your party due to high rep and also there is a chance of him changing to good alignment depending how you play.

secondly His high Intelligence make him a great illitid killer arm him with the psion blade and no illithid will stand in his way.

Finally He has the death bringer assault, this works in the same way as a critical hit only it causes a whooping 150 or 200 hitpoints of damage, and not many can withstand a blow like that

Volguuz RageWaar 05-03-2002 08:38 AM

I go as Grindar, kick out keldron.

Dundee Slaytern 05-07-2002 01:08 AM

Screw second chances. Deathbringer Assault or no Deathbringer Assault, I am no longer going to let Sarevok into my party.

Given no other choice however, I would rather drop Minsc than Keldorn. Keldorn provides better services than Minsc, in the form of his True Sight and Dispel Magic. Not to mention that he can wield Carsomyr and summon Devas.

nightshift001 05-08-2002 01:51 AM

cmon dundee.............i thought your chrs were usually good reps?
What about if sarevok see's the error of his ways and changes align?
Hes a pretty cool customer in my books...
I would like to continue to travel with you......if u will allow it
Quote sarevok.........now i reckon he seems like a changed person......
can any chr uv ever made equal his deathbringer assault? assassins backstab excluded of course
keep on adventuring.
ascention awaits.

Dundee Slaytern 05-08-2002 01:56 AM

I can live without Sarevok.

Tanoch Thas'ala 05-08-2002 12:01 PM

There is nothing cooler than seeing Sarevok wade into enemies and with one wack make em poof! Sarevok is just to valuable I think..

Dundee Slaytern 05-09-2002 11:09 PM

I am not contesting his killing power, but the little nugget of roleplaying that resides inside me tells me to tell Sarevok to take a hike.

your game, your choice...but you asked...

Chuso NK 05-11-2002 01:17 PM

Hi (again)

If you want to know my owm opinion.. i´ll tell you Sarevoks fits very well in any team.. except you´re a self righteus person.. that´s not my case.. emm.. forget it.
Of course Misnc or Keldron are fine.. but also it dependes how your team works... My main character uses to be strong or quick, good for combat. So I don´t have troubles. But of course, that little big bastard is so special for me. To lead him after quick his twice is enought to make grown up my ego. "^_^))

Icebane 05-13-2002 12:06 AM

Where exactly is Serevok? WHat class is he in? Can you only get him in ToB?

Jaegan 05-13-2002 01:08 AM

Yeah hes only in Tob, if you play it youll get him soon, hes not hard to get.

/me notes it was Big Daddy who asked. DS replied.

Aram 05-13-2002 11:42 PM

I'm on board with DS on this one. I had been looking forward to the Sarevok NPC thing ever since I heard about it. From a power play point of view, he is a definate requirement in my opinion. But when it came down to his inclusion it just wasn't right. I've roleplayed one character consistently all the way through BGI, TOTSC, BGII, and now BGII TOB and it just goes against the grain.

"Sorry bro, no go. Take a hike back to the abyss. Oh, and don't let the door hit your ass on the way out!"

Melle 05-14-2002 05:39 AM

I too am slightly crippled by my roleplaying. I want to roleplay a really evil guy, but the advantages of high rep are sooo tempting, but "lawful good" just sticks in my throat, but...
Not to mention that the game is really made for do-gooders.
At least I don´t have any problem with Sarevok. But really, I consider both him and Viconia "one-size-fits-all" because you can change their alignment or not as you choose.
