After entering the teleport thing in the beginning of the game and meeting
up with Irenicus.I decided not to let him join my party and told him maybe
he could join me later? well I went thru the first trial and when I defeated
all the enemy's the very last enemy

Irenicus appears? I dusted him off before I even realised who it was.
I know I did the same thing in a previuose game but I dont recall him
appearing like that. anyone else run into this?

I'm pretty certain it was Irenicus again? He even looked like him!You remember
leaving the first dungeon in bgII? when he obliterates everyone? well he
teleported in just like all the other creatures did and it looked like the
same animated character as when he obliterated all the wizards and took Imoen?
I hope I'm not losing my mind???I noted others talking about Saverok to.I dont
believe I have even run across him yet? and I have played up to Draconis.
but I havent played Watchers keep yet.well I'm going to try the battle again
and see what happens.

Well I'm not losing my mind it was indeed Jon who appeared in the first
trial? after slaughtering the drow he teleported in just as I said, and
I dusted him off once again seems odd as he requested to join me and I
told him to hang out maybe he could join with us later? Aw well no biggie
just wondered if he appeared like that for anyone else??

Ya I had him too!!! I kicked his ass, but he never asked me to let him join though. Serevok asked. I let him join until I relized he is evil and does not work good in my group, of do gooders! He is a really good fighter though.

Is there anyway to change Serevok's aliengment?

What are you guys talking about? i've played through ToB twice already and never ONCE seen Irenicus in any way, shape or form.

The very first Pocket Plane test, retribution. If you are good, you fight evil creatures like Drow, and if you are high enough of a level, Jon Boy himself teleports in as the final bad guy.

Sarevok is the NPC that asks to join you as soon as you arrive in the Pocket Plane...not Irenicus. Now, as far as Irenicus goes, I never encountered him...but I continued my game straight from the end of SoA. Does that make a difference? Or is it purely a level-based thing? Although that doesn't make much sense as everyone (unless they removed the XP cap...which is unsupported)starts at the same number of XPs. ToB automatically bumps you up if you are not already of sufficient level.

So...maybe if you import a character without playing through the final battle in SoA directly into ToB, this occurs. Any thoughts???

In the first challenge which occurs in the Pocket Plane, the encounter is based off your alignment, and party strength. If your party ( or your character ) is of a high enough level, you will fight Jon at the end. You can also fight Bhodi, and Saerevok at the end of the challenge. They will all appear at the same time, and Saerevok has his oldschool graphic. So in response, its based on your party's power ... this is the only time I have seen Irenicus during ToB.

I decidd to look this up in my cheat book to see what it said about it, and they say that you do get to fight Irenicus, but this time he is a watered down version. Not nearly as powerful as the original one. That's what it says, anyway. If I fought him in that room, I did not even realize it was him. I was just bashing everything that came through the portals, adn not realizing who or what I was fighting. My highest level char. was a 19 and the lowest was a 15/16.

Your right larry the first time I played it using my characters finishing
the final battle in BGII and than I decided to try some new characters
importing 3 of my tanks.But I chose new game.thats what changed everything
it must be determined on skill and level as you said? The first person on
both accounts I ran into were Jon Irenicus! He stated he wanted me to help
him but he would require some of my soul to be brought back from the dead?
