Well...does the mod include allowing Paladins to inherit the de'Arnise stronghold? Because I have the romance installed, and my PC is a paladin, yet Nalia offered the Keep to me. I assume this is because the mod says that in order to romance Nalia, you must be of the "fighter pool", which included Paladins, Rangers & Monks to name a few...
Will all these classes be asked to inherit the Keep as a result now? Sorry if it sounds amateurish, I just want to make sure... |
Well i played as a fighter, just in case, but the whole thing didnt work out. I suppose that some parts of the romance are point triggered so my usual ctrl-J trick must have backfired on me. Or maybe it was Aerie. Anyway I dont know whether thats true, or whether you can do the paladins guild and the fighter's guild. Maybe you can tell me something about the mod? Would like to know where i went wrong.

I think that any class can take the keep with the romance mod installed but I'm not sure if other classes can still take their normal stronghold.
There are at least four different Nalia romance mods and all four of them do/did different things. |
Now, now. Only one's been published and I only know of one that's being worked on.
And no, I'm pretty sure Arnel did NOT expand the stronghold to all classes, and there was a CHA floor as well. It was kinda picky. And touchy. |
I tried Googleing the answer and found Arnel's (#1), PPG's (#2), some site in German (#3), and a Yahoo group dedicated to modding Nalia and Mazzy romances (#4). There was talk at PPG about expanding the stronghold. My memory and research are fuzzy.

Whoa! Four Nalia romances?! I didn't realise there were more than one!
The one I'm using is from here. It's alright, it got started after a little while. I do believe that the mod allows any fighter-type of th pool mentioned on the above site (Paladin, Fighter, Monk etc.) to take the stronghold, since any one of those types can romance Nalia. I still need to confirm whether it prevents you from taking the normal stronghold. I fear some huge crash if I try. |
Slicer, I have the same Nalia mod as you. I dont really know about the other 3. Anyway the time I played I actually had the Ease-Of-Use Mod installed which allowed me to play all strongholds. But the actual Nalia romance didnt work out..... did it for you? Could you tell at what point it would start, the info i could find is very sketchy. Something bout 3 parts to the romance, 1 involving slavers guild and 2 the keep......

Arnel's is the only one that's complete. I'll be back to work on de'Arnise Romance (the only other one I knew about) shortly.

Basically, after I accepted the lordship of the land and keep, roughly eight or more hours later (maybe two nights rest) the first "lovetalk" session starts. At least, that's what happened with me. And about the 3 parts, those are the triggers I believe. There are two possible triggers around the Keep, and one trigger that can be activated by eliminating the slavers. So you can do the slavers thing before her Keep and start the romance then. |
I would be interested in a Nalia Romance, but I also like having the Multi-Stronghold option too. I forgot about having it installed until Nalia offered to let my assassin be the Lord of the Manor. She told me about her "suitor" and said she needed me to help her take care of the situation. Being an assassin, I naturally offered to just kill the guy and be done with it. She rejected my offer AND also retracted her offer to allow me to run the Keep. So I reloaded and a dialogue that offered a less direct solution. Nalia agreed and my assassin became Lord of the Keep. :D The best part occurred when I went back for my first visit and some merchant had the audacity to demand that I pay him for goods that had been stolen. I chose to have him publicly executed instead as a warning to any other subjects that might want to make unreasonable demands of their new Lord.
I would also like to find a working Mazzy Romance Mod. I've got a halfling bounty hunter that has been waiting in the wings for his game to start and I would love to let him Romance Mazzy - but again - the Romance Mod would have to be compatible with Ease-of-Use and the multiple strongholds. |
Ok, I got to the point after she gets kidnapped during the wedding and i save her. Then she asks me to find additional evidence against Issea. This wasnt in the original game right? Anyway the problem is that she wants me to go find a slaver compund in the Temple district, but i remember earlier on something similar came up when i cleared the guarded compund. So going to ckeck it out and hope I didnt screw things up as usual.
|
Ok i checked out the guarded compound again. Nothing popped up. Does anyone know how to solve the additional evidence quest? My characters are now in spellhold and Nalia isnt saying anymore stuff already. So it means I probably have to get back and finish that quest to get the romance going again. Sorry slicer for using your thread to ask my questions.
