.House in teh bridge, taht you need teh rogue stone to get into. A lich, a vampyre, and a couple of humans. Is there any point to this quest after you have finished? I mean, it all sounds amazing and WOW but after they're dead and you're out, do they do anything else?
Cheers.

You forgot another thing: there`s also a Beholder in there.

ElfBane 07-05-2004 09:34 AM

To actually answer your question,, there is nothing further than some good treasure. The "Twisted Rune" quest is broken, and once you kill off the lich and it's allies, the "quest" is over, with no continuation. However, I believe the "Unfinished Business" Mod fills out the "Twisted Rune" quest, and some other broken quests.

Dragonshadow 07-05-2004 10:27 AM

Unfinished business never worked for me. Never installed, AFAIK.

Oh yeah, found the staff. gave it to Imoen.

IranicuS 07-05-2004 04:04 PM

You should:P...doesnt mess up your game and makes the game only funier

SixOfSpades 07-06-2004 03:51 AM

Unfinished Business does not actually make a full-blown quest out of the Twisted Rune yet, but they might soon. Right now, the only thing "questy" that actually exists in the game is that, once you defeat the Guarded Compound, you find a clue that leads you to the Twisted Rune.

As for loose threads: They're all the hell over the place. Jaheira is connected to Baron Ployer who's a former slaver and who lives next door to the Slaver Ship (it's even marked as "Slaver Stockade" on yer damn map, fercrissakes) which sells slaves to the Copper Coronet where you find Nalia who gets kidnapped by Isaea Roenall who keeps documents pertaining to the Slave Lords in the Temple District who keep a clue that ties them to their superiors in the Twisted Rune. *gasp for breath*

[ADD] The Skinner Murders are tied to the Twisted Rune, as well. Not only are the locales physically close, but the Skinner's base holds Rune Assassins. [/ADD]

<span style="color: lightblue">Who live in the house that Jack built?

Illumina Drathiran'ar 07-06-2004 10:00 PM

No, LennonCook. They live in the house that Kevin Bacon built.

Balintherlas 07-06-2004 10:14 PM

off topic but...Whats the significance of the "y" in vampire? And Illumina, whats the worlds capital?

Dragonshadow 07-07-2004 08:18 AM

I didn't know there was. I just prefer to write vampyre with a y.
Elhardo: homework ?

Black Baron 07-08-2004 10:54 AM

Read Carpet Jugulum by Terry Pratchett. The mystery of the 'y' letter will be revealed!

Dragonshadow 07-09-2004 10:32 AM

I thought it was "carpe" not carpet. ;)
I have read it, but I never saw the bit about teh y. Care to explain?

Armen 07-09-2004 11:55 AM

from the almost unbelievable Annotated Pratchett File:

+ [p. 59] "'Or, we prefer, vampyres. With a "y". It's more modern.'"

This spelling has a very old pedigree, but has become a hallmark of certain modern-day vampire fans who, like the Count, want to distance themselves from traditional beliefs about vampires. I blame Anne Rice.

WoodyG666 07-09-2004 03:44 PM

Theres a guy in Umar hills that tells you a little about the human flesh armour. He makes some comments on the Twisted Rune.

wellard 09-09-2004 11:43 AM

Fine ... clues, clues, clues, but not even the pink panther could put those clues together without hindsight.

Dragonshadow 09-09-2004 12:21 PM

The thread! It lives again!

Sure, but since you don't need to, chalk it up to the charm of BGII (and even ToB, since the Rune's reach is far and wide).
