OK. So I have decided what party will I make.

</font>
 • PC - ?</font>
 • Solaufein - F/M</font>
 • Valen F/T</font>
 • Aerie - C/M</font>
 • Kelsey - Sorcerer</font>
I don`t know what the PC should be. F/M or C/R. Also, should I take Aerie or not?

Also who should dual wield what for the best use?

Xen 05-07-2004 02:55 PM

Anyone?

Leslie 05-07-2004 03:14 PM

Ehm, OK here I go:

PC - Archer or Assassin or maybe Kensai/Druid (Ironskins + SoTR :D )

Yeah, take Aerie, why not? Have you ever finished the game with her?

Xen 05-07-2004 03:17 PM

I think that C/R or F/D would be better as Kensai->Druid.

What about the infamous Generic Archer->Mage?

ADD] What about Assasain->Fighter?

I'm not sure that you can have Valen in the same party with Aerie. It might work if you pick up Aerie first, but I know that if you have Valen, then try to add Aerie, Valen will leave until you boot Aerie.

Oh it will work don`t worry. I have installed Ease of Use.

Better yes, but Kensai/Druid is cooler. ;)

Xen 05-07-2004 03:41 PM

Bah...

So any toughts on Generic Archer->Mage?

True_Moose 05-07-2004 06:19 PM

C/R or K/D...the insect plague/nature's beauty etc, etc. will help you out immensely. I would say C/R for ToB (you know why).

As for who has what, what mods do you have, Xen?

Xen 05-08-2004 07:12 AM

True Moose! I haven`t seen you here for a long time.

Ascension,Tactics,Improved Battles,Item Upgrade,Oversight Mod (Improved Sendai)...

True_Moose 05-08-2004 03:08 PM

Yeah, I've been training really intensely for hockey, and I finally found some free time to play some BG2 and come back here. Nice to see ya Xen.

I'd hook up Aerie with DoE and a shield, since she probably won't need too much offensive firepower. Kelsey should clearly have the SotM. I'd leave Valen with her claws. Solaufein, you could give Sanchuu, CF and Tsuki (I think that's what you call it. ) C/R, you could go two ways. You could dual FoA or *<font color="white">ToB mace</font>* with CF, or throw in Pitchwife or Fulcrum. Personal style choice.

EDIT => Hehe, you can't make BOTH Pitchwife and Fulcrum. Silly me.

You can. Just start ShadowKeeper. :D

I`ve decided that it will look like this:

PC -C/R -FoA,MoD+2,DoE3
Solaufein - Crom Fayear,Equalizer,Amulet of Power,Robe of Vecna (needs fast re-casting of spells in a rush of a battle)
Aeire -Fulcrum
Valen - Celestial Fury,her Claws
Kelsey - SotM

True_Moose 05-08-2004 03:43 PM

Are you sure about using the Equalizer and Crom Faeyr on the same character? It seems to me like both those weapons are far more useful in the off-hand. Good choices for everyone else tho!

Xen 05-08-2004 03:49 PM

Yeah.

C/R had Mod +2 becuase then he doesn`t need AoP. I will give it to Solaufein becuase Tanks or usually the first guys who are level drained. So first two tanks are safe from it.

True_Moose 05-08-2004 03:54 PM

Why don't you hook up Solaufein with Sanchuu or Water's Talon? Keep Equalizer for times when you need the resistances for combat as a secondary weapon?

Xen 05-08-2004 04:00 PM

Resistances I have. DoE +3,Ironskins,Blade Barrier,ToB HLA wich gives you 40% physical resistance... my C/R is safe. I forgot to mention that I was thinkhing about giving Belm (off hand) and Quietus to Valen. Sanchuudoku will probably go to Adventurer`s Mart or maybe the ToB NPC. After all it is a powergaming party.

True_Moose 05-08-2004 04:06 PM

Hmm, I think we're not seeing eye to eye here, Xen. What I'm saying is that you can give Solaufein a much better punch by giving him another weapon. Whether it be Tsuki-Do or Skullcrusher or whatever, you won't be getting the most (powergaming) out of him in the sense of doing the most damage possible with Equalizer/Crom Faeyr. That's what I'm trying to say.

Xen 05-08-2004 04:13 PM

Right. So what do you suggest my friend? CF and E are for SoA late game. Tsukinoxen :D is will come in ToB.

True_Moose 05-08-2004 04:14 PM

Skullcrusher, perhaps? Daystar?

Xen 05-08-2004 04:17 PM

What about Sanchuudoku or perhaps SotR?

True_Moose 05-08-2004 04:24 PM

Definitely, those could work. Although, in the case of Solaufein and the *<font color="white">ToB Staff</font>*, I think I would prefer him to be dualwielding. Sanchuudoku + Crom Faeyr.

Xen 05-08-2004 04:27 PM

Hmm... Snachu+CF would be good. Maybe the PC could have ToB staff. I mean SotR+Whirlwind looks nasty.

True_Moose 05-08-2004 05:06 PM

Snachu+CF would be sick. You could go with Staff for the C/R, but there aren't that many good ones (you'd end up with Staff of Rynn +3 in SoA), and as a ranger, you get 2* in 2-Weapon Style for free.
