Iv got really bored of my shapeshifter...Like Six told me when you get greater werewolf you can wallop nearly evrything...I chose druid to be something OTHER than a fighter, but thats all the shapeshifter is.I never come out of greater werewolf form becuase i really dont need to and hey,its boring. Can someone reccomend a class to me that aint a fighter and is fun to be?I tried theif but she was way too feeble to do anthing decent and iv also been a sorceror but he sucked.Lol.Anyone got any suggestions?

You've cancelled out just about anything not a fighter. There are many strong arguments for the Sorceror, you just need to know how to use them. My personal favorite is the Paladin (Cavalier) but you want something that isn't fighterish. Thieves are feeble if you use them the way they are meant to be used. If you charge them into combat you'll probably die. If you use them to hide, scout, picklocks, backstab and run, among other thiefly things you should prove successful. Remember the direct "I'm gonna put my sword in your face" method doesn't always work.

well, whether a class is fun to play totally depends on which style (or styles) you prefer playing. If you feel thief is too feeble to do anything good then you just don't like to roleplay a thief. As for Sorceror sucks...either you don't like to roleplay a wizard or you don't really know to roleplay a Sorceror. or by *suck* we mean at higher level, a Sorceror (usually from the middle of or even early chapter 6) can actually destory almost all enemies by himself, letting the rest of party stand back and watch the show, then, I'll agree that sorceror does suck

If you like to power your way through the game but don't want to be a plain fighter, you might want to dual a fighter (try all the kits to see which one you like the most) to either mage or cleric for a change.
multiclasses probably isn't your cup of tea since they're quite *feeble* at the lower lvls and lvl up slower than other classes.

You might want to try a mage instead of a sorceror. The tough part about sorcerors is that they are only good if you pick the right spells, whereas mages can keep learning new spells, and you can decide each day which ones you want to have ready. When a sorceror chooses a bad spell, they are stuck with that choice.

Also, are you playing solo, or with a party. Pretty much any class is difficult to solo with in the beginning.

Gnome Cleric/Illusionist

Xen 04-03-2004 03:17 PM

Sorcerer/Cavalie or F/M.

ZFR 04-03-2004 04:01 PM

Or maybe try a bard... blade?
A multiclass cleric/thief is also fun

I'm sure if you tinkered with SK or something of the like you could possibly pull it off. You might crash the game when you try to play it though. Kinda like what happened when someone tried to create a kobold race

Illumina Drathiran'ar 04-03-2004 11:35 PM

No, you couldn't. You can't multi a sorc with anything, SK or no. Same with the paladin.

Firestormalpha 04-04-2004 12:03 AM

Hmmm... that's interesting. Well, it was just a hypothesis on my part anyway.

Try a Blade, by the way.

Also, your Sorcerer most likely failed because of your spell choices. As several of the above posters have said, Sorcs are practically invincible when used correctly. Try Dundee's spell list.
