Hello hello, long time listner, first time caller [img]tongue.gif[/img]

i know it's bad form to register just to ask a question, but i started playing bg2 about 2 weeks ago, and have played it fairly seriously. i didn't know whether to put this is ToB forum or here, cuz it's about watchers keep, which is in both (i'm doing it in SoA).

anyways, and here's the spoilers:


i'm at the very end of watchers keep, on the level above the imprisoned one, and and i have all 3 keys and they all unlock monsters right... so the problem i'm having is i don't want to permanently lose any of my characters, and the guy the key unlocks just does a time stop---> imprisonment combo that just kills me, since i never bought freedom :/ is the only solution to go out and buy it and go all the way back down, travelling for like an hour rl time? or is there a better one? i've tried not permitting him to cast but he's too magic resistant :/ anyways, thanks in advance

spell immunity abjuration will protect you from imprison...

You are aware that you can exit the Keep from each level? That saves a LOT of time. Just look around for the exit. You can exit the keep and then reenter it once you've unlocked a level from the inside.

oh. now i just feel dumb :D haha. oh well, spell protect abjuration did the trick...now i just keep gettin slaughtered on the last battle i have before the imprisoned one. i'll do that tomorrow when i have a fresh start. i'm gettin too frustrated.

Just for future reference, Watcher's Keep is a part of ToB, not SoA, so it belongs in the ToB forum. (Even though you're doing it in SoA, it doesn't come with SoA, it comes with ToB.) [img]smile.gif[/img]

If your getting slaughtered in the last battle before you hit the Imprisoned One, you might want to wait before you go any further ;)

I was advised to leave it until tob. What chapter are you on?

chapter 6 atm. i beat pretty much everything before the last 3 fights pretty easily, nothing was the least bit of a challenge. playing with a Paladin PC, minsc, korgan, imoen, viconia, and jan. it's all been pretty easy so far, dunno why the difficulty just jumped up 10 lvls

meh. started again today fresh start, beat it on the first try. just had to switch up the strategy a bit. on to the imprisoned one!

it was an epic battle, full of fun. i basically just had everyone beat him and ignore the other 2 who slaughtered people haha. he died and umm viconia my pc and minsc were alive. minsc was running off scared and viconia was sanctuaried. it was basically my npc slaughtering everything. eventually minsc came and helped.
