Look through the last few pages of topics. One of the topics is called "Ring of Invulnerability," and about halfway down someone (I forgot who) gave a link to Arundor's Abode, where you can download all sorts of hacked stuff, from basics like Elven Chainmail (which really SHOULD be in the game, because without it, Bards have to be buck naked if they want to cast spells) to the Ring of the Mind, which essentially makes enemies--ALL enemies--ignore your presence, even while you're chopping off their limbs. (Subtle hint: That last item will unbalance the game a little bit.) There are also downloadable characters and AI scripts.....I like the idea behind the "Gorion Wins" script. http://www.ironworksforum.com/ubb/no...iles/smile.gif

Now that I look back, it was YOU who STARTED that Ring of Invulnerability thread, zepher!

But I'm not going to say anything nasty, except to point out the difference between the semicolon and the letter L. How old are you?

Lord Brass 10-31-2001 07:25 PM

You play nice Six'. Zepher already explained the reasons why he asked about that item the first timehttp://www.ironworksforum.com/ubb/no...es/biggrin.gif. We may not agree with it, but I'm sure most of us aren't above a little Gatekeeper malarky now and then.

Oh, yeah, I understand his reasons for wanting the Ring the first time, and any other possible item this time, that's no problem. But doesn't he remember he's already asked this question, and been VERY adequately answered?

I'm not bad, I'm just drawn that way. I'm serious! Look at the angry scowl this guy's got. The sharp nose, the fierce, jutting chin.....and he's probably not too happy about his complexion either. I bet he's got ulcers.

Seriously, though, that guy simply managed to get on my nerves twice. That's all.

zepher 11-01-2001 05:32 PM

six i know i already posted it but
i already used most of the creatures
there at arundor adode i want new creatures
to fight and i am 13 and u don't always have
to be such a grump now i admit u know a lot
but u are like the guy next door he is informful
but man is he mean.

SixOfSpades 11-01-2001 06:33 PM

You've already used most of the characters from Arundor's, and you want MORE? Dang. It would take me the better part of a year to get tired of the selection they've got. (I tried turning one of my characters into an Ogre, and he looked cool, stomping around like that, until I realized he was too big to fit through doorways.)
I dunno....If you've already exhausted Arundor's, I'm stumped as to where you might go. I presume you've already tried a few search engines? Team BG might have something. Anyone else have any ideas?

Six' is the guy-next-door? ROFLhttp://www.ironworksforum.com/ubb/noncgi/smiles/485.gif.
Zeph', you've got to get out more guy. I mean, you've played all of them? That's outrageous - you'll never reach 14 at your rate young man. CPU burnout or what!http://www.ironworksforum.com/ubb/no...es/biggrin.gif

BTW Six', try a potion of extra-healing for those ulcers. If the symptoms persist, then consult your local Temple of <insert favourite god/-dess>.

See the problem with arundor is that most
of the char creatures make my game crash! i
don't know why so i only got to use like 4.

Lord Brass 11-01-2001 07:31 PM

Probably because Zeph' you take them like potions of speedhttp://www.ironworksforum.com/ubb/no...s/gmorning.gif. Have enough of them and die an old man at the age of 20. That's what too many characters can do to you guys!

Hmmm. I can't say I've played around with a lot of those downloadable files....I unzipped one file, and as I said, it turned out to be a collection of a bunch of characters, MOST of which worked fine on my system (except the ones that you needed to have ToSC for, as I didn't have ToSC). Perhaps the guy who made these character files was a bit more meticulous than his comrades, and it's THEIR files that are crashing your game. Just a suggestion.....
