Hi.

This is my first time posting in these boards Anyway, heres a first, probly a dumb newbie question :/

For some odd reason i simply cant clik on the strongholds outside Athkatla. There are 3 areas to the right, but they are greyed out! Any ideas?!?!

Yeah ;) ! Have you tried to go through the City Gates? Its a must if you want to go to most of the districts.

Just confirmation: what Baron Night said is correct. The first time you venture outside the city you have to go through the city gates.

And also WELCOME TO IRONWORKS FORUM!

I've also run into a bug where you sometimes have to leave through the gates a second or third time when new areas are added to your map (even though you have been through the gates already)

Leaving the City Gates District (*through* the gates) will open up all of the "greyed-out" map areas that are on your map at that time. So if you talk to Delon and get the Umar Hills put on your map, you can go to the Gates, travel to the Umar Hills, and have fun. But if you then come back and talk to Flydian, you will have to go through the Gates again if you want to access Trademeet.

Don't feel bad: I'm brand new to the game as well (the only previous Infinity engine experience I've had is Planescape: Torment; never even played BGI) and had to look up the answer to this same exact question last week. More power to the clueless! United we are mighty!
