I just played the improved firkraag twice, but did'nt get any XP for killing him any of the times. That's a bug allright. Does anyone know how to fix this bug? Or could someone just tell me how much XP I was supposed to get, so I can CLUA it.
|
Yea, I've had that problems like other people here have, he takes about 14 damage before he dies? I don't know how to fix it, but I do think... you get about 64,000 Exp. points out of it, but I may be wrong, it's been awhile since I fought him.
|
Never heard of this one before.
XP for normal Fiirkraag is 64000 IIRC but I'm not sure if it is increased in the harder version (I think rather not as I can't recall anything of that sort) |
thx

lol, thought I was supposed to write: CLUAConsole:SetCurrentXP("64000"), that did'nt turn out very well :D . Does anyone know how to ADD XP to the party?

Hehe! Why is that? I suppose we'll never know... Is it the last act of a desperate dragon? ("You killed me allright, but you aint gonna get any experience! Now you've killed me for NOTHING!... Except those red dragon scales and the Carsomyr +5")
I'll just skip the xp then... |

Torden, if you want to add the Xp, divide the 64,000 by the number of party members you have and add it onto each of their experience scores. Feels like math class doesn't it?

. . . . . . . . . . .. you may want to try using spells more than brute force against him. in certain situations he should not be able to commit suicide -- like when he's yellow circled...or turned green...or try instant kill him with spells (lower his magic resistance and mess up his saving throws and then shoot some instant killing spells)...tough, but possible. ADD: someone mentioned this before, check this thread (though not really solved the problem), http://www.ironworksforum.com/ubb/no...c;f=2;t=022251 [ 09-07-2003, 10:36 PM: Message edited by: teardropmina ] |

Preventing the player from getting the xp for a monster they 99% killed is very low, and it's unjustifiable roleplaying wise. How could the characters learn nothing at all out of that fight? |
It's not that the Improved Dragons intentionally commit suicide to deny the party EXP, it's that Weimer messed up with their Wing Buffet. They hurt themselves just as much as the intended victim(s), they can knock themselves Unconscious, and since they can Wing Buffet as many as 6 times per round, the odds of their killing themselves are actually pretty high.

anyway, I always thought it's suicide, silly me :embarrassed: but this is a silly bug. |
One way to avoid that is to instruct the Dragons in their AI script not to Wing Buffet when they are Near-Death. Just one line of code.
|
I had the very suicide problem a couple of times in a row. The trick is to finish
him with ranged weapons/magic since he only seems to wing buffed if someone is in melee range. |
Yeah, the frequency of the Wing Buffet seems to increase with the character's proximity. I have one screenshot of my Tank getting trapped almost right between Nizidramanyi'it and the edge of the map. The Text Box is maximized, and filled with nothing but Wing Buffets, about 6 per round.

(average xp in party)+(64000/(number of partymembers)) http://www.ironworksforum.com/ubb/no...ons/icon16.gif. Oh, well... |
Beign able to wing buffet every second is dumb, a dragons wings are big and ehavy, dragons may be muscular and strong, but no way can they clap their big wings every second, at least 12 seconds per buffet. (simple rule that air force is equal to the surface of the wing, the dragon gets twice as big, twice as strong, but the air force quadruples...)
