Well technically I suppose you could call it a skill. It does appear in your special abilities after all.

So its a spec. ability, not skill [img]smile.gif[/img] Well, power, but still not skill [img]smile.gif[/img] You can't be not skilled enough to shapeshift successfully [img]smile.gif[/img]

Can someone pm how to get that pair, as I only knew of the 2 mentioned above that can be obtained through normaly playing..I'd like to know how to get a third pair o_O

I sense a lot of cheese potential in them

Wouldn't it be annoying to run, then go to inv put em off... Maybe useful for thieves only... for backstab&run-to-the-corner tactics...

The Boots of Lightning are completely useless if anyone has actually read up on them [img]tongue.gif[/img]

But what if you run with double speed using the boots, then pause, remove the boots, do what you need (cast, backstab, hide in shadows, rest, talk) and then again put them on and continue fleeing..

exactly!
the classic thief-cheese
flee -> hide -> backstab
or the classic range-cheese
flee -> attack with ranged weapon until enemy is at melee range -> flee

works with the normal Boots of Speed as well (but NOT against hasted opponents of course)
only annoying thing with the Lightning Boots would be that you have to remove them after the fleeing step and put them back on later.


OR are they a cursed item? That would indeed make them useless.

Unless you're a mage/thief and have Remove Curse [img]smile.gif[/img] Still much trouble with casting/removing through inv... But still a potent cheese item [img]smile.gif[/img]

You can get the boots from Renal in chapter 6 by taking them from his dead body (no Arkanis).

Or if you feel like doing a little bit of cheating you open the CLUAConsole and type in CLUAConsole:CreateItem("boot01")just if you don't feel like lokking for them.
