I like just plain old fighters!!! or sometimes just a mage!

Undead Hunter.

Fighter/Mage, Fighter/Mage/Thief, Kensai.

I love Mages. Simply incredible, I've always loved the prospect of spell power, and flattening a bunch of enemies with a hoard of spells is a great thing to watch. I especially like the Irenicus fight scenes, with the Cowled Wizards and Shadow Thieves. And he is a great bad guy. But I've had an affinity to Rangers as well.

Cleric/Ranger multiclass

Multiclasses all the way. I love versatility.

I've played a fighter all 5 times through BG1, I'm doing a fighter again my 2nd time through SoA, which means I'll have a fighter a 2nd time through in ToB. But I'd like to try another kit soon. Any recommandations for a kit that makes a powerful character (fighter type)?

Well if you want to be a fighter type you should maybe be a Paladin all the kits are good but my personal favorite is Undead Hunter, although many favor the Cavalier...

And many more the Inquisitor !

The Inquisitor and the Archer are both powerful and fun to roleplay fighter types. If you're into something more unique, try a Wizard Slayer... with Darts!

Yes The Item Upgrade Mod is indeed a WeiDu mod. Like most of them are here on Weimer .

I HATE wizard slayers... Not being able to drink a health potion really starts to annoy me after awhile...

That was a slight problem, but I always had a cleric or two handy in the party to kiss me better.

And when the thief Use Any Item ability kicks in (it does eventually) the arguement is null and void :D

But it's still difficult, especially when your cleric(s) (namely Anomen and Aerie) are engaged in battle with Lizard-men.

Sorcerers yay...the best one for me
