Just like it says, it's all greyed out... and I'm currently hanging out in Trademeet, so it's not a city gates thing...

Do you have the latest patches and fixes?

similar to my case, i can't go there either.so instead going to nalias keep, i went to the umar hills.after you go there, it should let you go to nalias keep.i think this bug is triggered when yer map is updated when you talk to tolgerias to find valygar before going to nalias keep.cause it doesn't happen to me (nalias keep bug) when i didn't trigger tolgerias quest first.

Bingo! That fits my situation exactly.
All I have loaded is dungeon-be-gone and ToB... don't even have the bonus merchants.

Thanks, both of you.

No problem.

yeah ;)

you could always warp there with the appropriate area code
don't remember it right now - check out the Ironworks cheat section

Leaving town through the City Gates only actives those map areas that are "greyed out" <u>at that time.</u> Say you followed this set of actions:</font>
  • Spoke to Flydian, got a greyed-out Trademeet on the map</font>
  • Stuck your head out through the Gates, turned Trademeet blue (can travel there now)</font>
  • Went to Copper Coronet, talked to Nalia, got a greyed-out de'Arnise Keep on the map</font>
  • Went from the Slums directly to Trademeet</font>
If you did that, then the de'Arnise Keep would still be grey. You have to go to the City Gates map *AGAIN* to turn the Keep blue.

when it happens to me last time (before reading this), i did exactly like u said, but it never turns blue.city gates doesn't trigger nalias keep if you never went there first before taking tolgerias' quest.

<span style="color: lightblue">Go out the gates the opposite side to what you come in. That is, go *through* the gates... the big ones. The side with some guards... Fliddian is facing away from them. So are the guards, and I think the town cryer.
