<span style="color: #FFFFFF">Spoilers ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ No, it is not necessary to be in the sixth chapter to defeat mind flayers in sewers. You could do it as soon as you emerge from Irenicus' dungeon. Provided that you have the sewers key that is in Windspear Hills, on Tazok's cold body. Ah Vedran I'm not trying to be a smart arse or anything but you really should have put spoiler tags in that post. So I guess this proves we all can make mistakes regarding spoilers. I see Dundee has edited spoiler tags in. :D Not everyone wants to know were to get the key and
SPOILER * * * * * * * about how Tazok from BG1 is there either. |
yo ever knew that Jon iranicus is mentiont in BG1? ( Im saying it 'cause I just see it). Its funny actually that their are many links from bg 1 to 2

Dundee, there's no such word as "irregardless." If there were, the word itself would be a double negative. Personally, though, I don't mind. What annoys me is the term "meteoric rise." Meteors don't rise--they fall. If somebody actually *DID* experience a "meteroic rise," that means they're about 3 seconds away from leaving a sizable crater somewhere in Utah.
IranicuS, I don't mean to make you feel small, but yes, these subjects have come up before. If you want to share your superior knowledge of the game, your best bet is to wait until somebody has a question that they want answered, or is having trouble getting past some difficult section of the game. Then, you can sail in, help them out of their problems, and be a hero. :D NOTE: Avoid spoiling people. A "spoiler" is when you post information that somebody else DID NOT WANT to know--it's like telling somebody the ending of a book or a movie, before they've read it or seen it for themselves. Most people would much rather find things out for themselves. To give a Baldur's Gate example, let's say somebody just got into the Underdark, but they don't know how to get out--they're stuck and they don't know what to do. DO NOT post a complete list of how to get into Ust Natha, and the best ways to do every single quest in there. Instead, a small nudge in the right direction (such as giving the person hints on how to get to Adalon) should be all that is needed. Good luck & Welcome to Ironworks! |
The title of the thread is:
new in town ADD] Crom Faeyr Parts Spoilers so I found it unnecessary to put tags. I haven't said anything that is unrelated to Crom Faeyr, and IranicuS didn't mind. Anyone who don't want to be spoiled about CF wouldn't read the post anyway. As for you who read it (and who have assembled CF), you already know the things what I mentioned. Otherwise you couldn't have had assembled CF, and wouldn't read this thread. I am looping... [ 05-08-2003, 02:39 PM: Message edited by: Vedran ] |
You have a point there Vedran although Dundee did add spoiler tags himself so ovbiously he felt there was a potential spoiler there. *Sigh* I don't know it can be difficult to know wether to use spoiler tags my new motto is use spoiler tags if in doubt afterall it can't hurt can it?

Why oh why does "irregardless" exist and have a valid meaning? ;) English. You gotta love the language. I am surprised though, that Vedran did not pounce on it first. ;) Quote:
Titles that have the ADD] or EDIT] tags are done by me. |
Dundee, you apparently didn't notice the "US NOT STANDARD" bit in your link. That is dictionary-speak for "not a formal word".
From the "The American Heritage® Dictionary of the English Language" Irregardless is a word that many mistakenly believe to be correct usage in formal style, when in fact it is used chiefly in nonstandard speech or casual writing. Coined in the United States in the early 20th century, it has met with a blizzard of condemnation for being an improper yoking of irrespective and regardless and for the logical absurdity of combining the negative ir- prefix and -less suffix in a single term. Although one might reasonably argue that it is no different from words with redundant affixes like debone and unravel, it has been considered a blunder for decades and will probably continue to be so. |
[OT]
Hmmmm, did not notice that part, but just for the record, I have been using it as far back as I can remember, and up till now, no one pointed out to me that it was wrong. One of the quirky things about the English language is that it is constantly evolving. Even the person you quoted seems resigned to the fact that the word is going to be standard usage. Besides, it sounds nice. ;) If anybody wishes to discuss this further, PM me or start a thread in General Discussions. [/OT] |
guys I had seen the spoilers but i didnt saw the legendary wapens cause i knew already were they were, so I am not so stupid:P. I know much of the game and I tough lets be nice, but yeah it was a little stupid to think that you guys dont know were they were. But then i got another question.Waht is yuor fafourite weapon in the whole game? My favorite weapon would be Crom Fayer as well but I also really like Frostreaver as it's elemental damage can cut through mage's stoneskins.

My spell checker didn't recognize irregardles, but I thought it was just a rarely used word. I don't know that kind of detail about english, and I know better than to even think of correcting you  . IranicuS, don't feel bad. You entered a new forum and gave that info as a token of goodwill. It is appreciated (but for God's sake, watch your spelling... ) My favourite is the Vorpal sword. Clean, efficient, deadly. And Long sword +2, (frost damage), I like it. |
I personaly don't like crom frear much. I prefer to use the gridle and gaunglets. And I have better weapons anyway. Celestial fury +5 , holy avenger , staff of magi , staff of elemental mastery , liacor +5 , etc.(you need item uprade instaled to get some of those).
Which do you think is the most powerful weapon in the game? I think it's soul reaver +6 for a warrior staff of magi nad staff of elemental mastery for mage or cleric other stuff including crom fraer is far behind |

Headache Heartache Bellyache Backache Mustache Toothache Weighing an item's merits solely on whether or not it is "Best" unfairly makes certain items, like the Crom Faeyr, seem 'insufficient'--which they clearly are not. Don't discount the Crom just because it doesn't do what, say, the Silver Sword or the Soul Reaver+6 do. The Crom's +5 enchantment, STR bonus, and Stoneskin-piercing Electrical damage are more than enough reasons to justify its being categorized as an "artifact"-class item. It does nasty things to the damage when Dual-wielded (especially when Backstabbing), and Soloists swear by it--there's just no better way of busting open locked doors & chests. True, you need to destroy the Girdle and the Gauntlets in order to make it, but come on--if you need more than 4 Str-enhancing items in one party, why are you running around with so many weak Warriors? |
well i forgot to say that when i am a paladin then that sword carysm (or something)at firekraag is good. But as another fihgter character i do always the crom and the equalizer or the long sword. But hte best sword in the beginning of the game (especially for minsc) is that talking sword
