okay I am currently in the great Underdark and I just got past through the mind flayer lair (It was hard as hell) and you know what the silvers dragons spell ran out and my disguise as a drow gone and Solafein comes along and says Surfacer blah blah blah. It happens after 8 hours (of game time) anybody else had this problem?

Hmmm, never heard about this one, Sythe. Try going to the drow city right after the dragon's spell has been cast.

I did put spoiler tags on the name of my topic! And I went to the drow city did some missions and came and decided to venture into the lair. I really do hope that I don't have to reload.

Never had that happen to me before. It could be a glitch, but pcgiant might be right so try going to the city right after the spell is cast (or you can just talk to her again).

First I need to know which way you took to get to the underdark.
did you use the key from Irenicus and go through the the secret door to the underdark or did you sail with Saemon and get captured by the Sahuagin(Shark Men)and taken to their city?

Second when you went to Adalon(the silver Dragon)and were changed into the drow did you go directly into the Drow city (Ust Natha) if not then you get to start over because you will be trapped in the underdark forever with no way out.

The whole Idea of the illusion of becoming Drow is so you can complete the quest to retrive her Eggs and swap the fake one before the Ritual performed by the matron mother Ardulace and Phaere, then when the two of them give the fake Eggs to the Demon Lord and he then kills them and then goes back to Hell.You then have to kill all the guards grab all the gear from the dead Ardulace and phaere and then get back to the Dragon with her real Eggs she will then warp you to the doors that lead to the surface and this is the only way to leave the under dark unless you kill the Dragon and then fight your way through about 50 Drow and their spider lords then fight your way to the surface and you think the Mind Flayer Lair was hard well you'll be real lucky to get out with one or two of your team still alive.

Depending on What mission you were on, you might have passed the Timeline which is usually 3 days per quest. Although I know one is 1 day or is it 1 hour. *shrugs* Never had it happen to me so I don't know exactly.

The Underdark quests have three-day deadlines. If you fail to complete them within the time, Solafien shows up and sees through your disguise.

I did go to the drow city right away. The last mission I did was uh uh well it's the one before the beholder mission. And I sailed with Sameon (You get more XP that way I bet) I think I did stay at the Mind Flayer lair for more than three days but then why didn't Solafein come before? Or why didn't he come when I came out of the lair? I never knew the drow spell had a duraiton on it.

ok so how does one get out of the underdark if you killed everyone and i managed to grab the eggs but i cannot get out of the underdark? She did her little spell ( but i guess i missed the fact i had to do the switch).

I'm stuck now and the exit does not work

if you have the real eggs, take them back to Adalon. if youve messed up some other way, then go to the kua-toan tunnels(western, i think). you can get out that way, though you WILL lose alot of exp...

Its just that: when you get a mission from a drow, you'll have no more then 3 days to complete the task before returning, or else your cover is blown. So its highly advisable to do the Illithid lair (or Kuo-Tan or Beholder den) before you go to the drow city.

my problem is that i cannot get out of the drow city!, how does one get out of the city if the exit does not work?

After the demon thing leaves once it is satisfied, you have go get to the gates AS FAST AS YOU CAN, otherwise you'll get locked inside, which I assume is what happened to you. If you don't fancy killing all the Drow, you can just reload to a part prior to the meeting with the demon (if you saved the game before that, that is), and try to get out faster.

Actually, that's incorrect. Matron Mother Ardulace seals the entrance to the city as soon as you provide the "blood of a noble race" that she requires. The only way to break that seal is to kill the Matron (or see that she dies by *ahem* other means).

marco, tell us exactly what's happened. You said that "she did her little spell;" does that mean that Matron Mother Ardulace summoned the Lesser Demon Lord? Who has the REAL Dragon Eggs right now?

There are 2 doors that might be blocked to you in Chapter 5. The exit from the Drow City should open again after the Matron Mother's death. The exit from the Underdark itself can be opened by either completing Adalon's quest, or by killing Adalon.

ok here goes,

the fighting princess asked me to meet her at Loth's temple and i went there to meet the matron mother. she asked if i had certain objects such as the "eye of the elder beholder' and the blood from ??????(forgot what it was). she took both and (up to this point i was not able to get into the egg lair) sent me off. At this point i decided to make a run for the eggs, but then decided to go after the lich (the suspense was killing me). I got caught up with that, also i WAS suppose to meet the pricess at her quarters but wanted to do the lich thing first. it was at this moment i decided to go to the bazaar and unload some stuff, this is where the pricess found me out and i started to wipe out the drow. After the battle i managed to get the real eggs BUT now no one is around. I do not remember killing the matron mother (i'm sure it would of been one hell of a battle). so now i'm all alone in the drow city with no one around and no way to exit the damn place. is there something that i'm missing or something i did not do?

Go back to the temple and clean house, kill everyone and everything, enter every door and kill, maim, destroy.
If the Matron Mother is to be found anywhere, its there.
However, I thought you did indeed have to kill every single drow in order to unlock the gates again.

So .. try going back to the temple and killing the Matron Mother, if she's not there, just kill every single drow there is.
Dont forget that there are upper-levels too with a few drow tucked away in a corner. Explore everything and kill everything.
IIRC the gate should open once every drow is dead.
