Hi all, the name's Cheapy (it means NOTHING I swear).

And I just wanted to share a little "tip".

In the early game, when you don't have the spell Breach yet, just get Jahiera to cast Barkskin on the pesky wizards who use Stoneskin. Barkskin over writes Stoneskin, so they loose some AC, and become vurnable.

I don't know if that was mentioned before but oh well (Was that a spoiler? All the boards I've been too have different spoiler harshness.)

by the way i personally think the stone to barkskin tactic is sorta cheap.
its about the same as using the magic recistance spell to overwrite firkraags magic resistance, this pulling it down like woah

just my humble opinion tho.

cool trick, i dont think its cheap cause the way i look at it is
Stone skin just 5 measly hits
Barkskin defense that lasts longer than 5 hits *wink*

So really they are getting a better deal hehe

Ya, it was a bad aiming of barksin. I tried to cast it on Kolar (my main character) but I clicked on the stoneskinned wiz. Back in the new days of BG2...

The way I see it, is that the barkskin overwrites the stoneskin. Sure, they still have an AC bonus over what they had pre-stoneskin, but not as much, AND you can hurt them.

If I was a wizard, Id much rather have stone over bark (Unless of course the bark caster is maxed level).

No no, YOU cast it on the enemy wizard, if they have Stoneskin on. Barkskin overwrites Stoneskin, and vice versa.
