how long has BG2 lasted u? (untill u got bored of it)
|
Got it in 2001; still playing it. I'd say that was a good investment. :D

i got it right after tob came out, still playing but i had a long break after i beat it the first time
|
after not playing in about one year and playing it again right this minute with a new party.. pretty good.

Got BGII after it got out, still playing it! Just got ToB so I fear I'll be stuck here for at least another year.
|
have it nearly a year. i restarted too many times so the part before the underdark is quite boring and i play it not as much anymore. i just started a solo sorcerer though. that's fun

Got it in July 2001, IIRC, and I'm still playing it. Not as often as I used to, though.
|
I bought BG2 Collector's edition in January (this year, 2002), so I've played it about 11 months.
|
Got it last Christmas and I'm still playing it and probably will for quite some time.
|
I actually had BG2 _BEFORE_ its release (got prerelease CDRs for review in a magazine) and have been either playing it or modding it (or, uh, thinking about modding it) ever since.

I got BGI and BGII last August. I played a fighter (because I couldn't have a barbarian) in BGI and turned him into a Wizard Slayer in BGII.
I've currently started a second BGII game with an assassin that I will dual to a mage. This time, I plan to run an entirely evil party (Korgan, Viconia, Edwin, etc). I have also started a second BGI game with a half-elven ranger. I will Import him into BGII and run the "Nobody Loves Us" party (Mazzy, Har'Daelis, Jan, Aerie, Cernd). So, the answer is that BGII has lasted me well over a year (although I did quit playing for a couple of months) and I don't expect to grow bored with it any time soon. |
i got it spring 2001. ive played it over and over again, and still havent gotten bored! i did quit for a few months though, when i played through BG1 and Icewind Dale. after that i played it until morrowind hit my eye, played it through as much as you can, switched it to IWD 2, played through that and now im playing it again with a priest of helm, Viconia and Edwin. i suspect ill switch to bg1 again play through the entire series.

I'd say I have had it for well over 1 year, but I had a huge break for about 6 months. The thing is, I have never completed it! Not once. I was nearly there, but then I had to wipe my PC (AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARRGH!!). I still love it though, and will for quite a while.
PS: It's been better since I found Ironworks! |
The first day it came out in Australia... cant remmember the exact day but i think like 2 yrs ... and played until NeverWinter Nights came out... which is like 3 or 4 months ago i think...
|
I bought BG2 years ago and I still haven't finished it. The problem is when I get a new game I play that instead of finishing BG2. I install it every now and then and progress slowly ;)
|
Last october, just three months ago. I´m still in chapter 2, too much school and work to really play.

Summer 2001 till today.
Started with BGI and went through with a bard to end of TOB. Then started a Stormlord, played till I screwed up game with CLUA console (Made Arkanis Gath a member of my party and slaughtered every member of the Shadow Thieves - then Aran would pop up in random places around Athkatla and try to start me on the Aran quest - but his state would never change - terrible bug -gave up on the Stormlord). Then a paladin. Then started soloing a necromancer - he is now level 24 and in the underdark - will finish this one. Got a new comp and networked with old comp - had a friend over and played two player BGII with me playing a wild mage and him playing a monk - quite a lot of fun. I toss a fireball at the enemy, rush in with stoneskin up, trigger sunfire, and then hide in the corner while he beats the remains to a pulp with his fists. We just took the planar sphere after doing Nalia's keep and the Shadow Temple. It was tough going for a while - took twenty tries to get Tolgerias out of the way. Been slowly teaching myself modding skills. Will have a mod ready in a few months - couple of new NPCs and quests. All in all, the most entertaining $50 or so dollars I ever spent. Ok, maybe $70 bucks for BGI/TOTSC and BGII. Hope it never gets old - wish NWN was more like BGII. |
IIRC I started in Feb (?) 2001. Still love it , while the other RPGs I've tried collect dust
