TES Online

YEAH BABY!!!!

I am sooooo hoping that this will be the game to beat WoW off the throne - being a huge Skyrim and Oblivion fan that should not be too hard in my case and even with the announced mmonthly ( you see what i did there eh? )subscription it will worth playing I am sure!!!

For those who has yet to sniff at the cinematic - here you go!

For those who'd love to see some gameplay!

Now who's gonna play this shizzle cause I wanna play with some real nutters from Ironworks instead of finding a blimp guild a la WoW!!!

I am still cursing one of my old friends from Blizzard - he is currently working at Zenimax with the development - but you'd think he'd get the goddamn beta key but noooo....friendship over ( well...not but it sounded good... )

I'm very much looking forward to it, I'll be playing it (if my laptop has the ability to run it... Questionable as I have to have Skyrim on minimum graphics. Ugh).

Is there any info on the sort of net speed requirements yet? I haven't had a good look for that.

Well it looks like my laptop will be fine... I can't find anything either on their official site or on that link about the speed of net required, though. I guess I'll just have to wait and hope that my less than 800KB per second will be enough, though internet is only set to get worse here... *large political rant*

Thanks for the link though :)

800 kb/sec ---> Are you using a treadmill to power that sucker?

Re: TES Online

Some places in OZ have only 1 provider.. and many have to use satellite :(

You in central Aus Wolf Rider?

Damn....I live in a smaaaaall country - we are about 5 mio people - and I can choose between 14 operators! ranges from 1mb-100mb lines and we have countrywide LTE network with supported 50mb.

Prbly cause we're a small country so its easy!

Re: TES Online

South Aus, Ziroc, but it's just as bad there. We haven't been upgraded to fibre optic cable yet, we're still on the old copper wires... And unfortunately that's pretty much how it's going to stay. No difference between rural and city net, either, I've tested both.

Sparhawk, if I was to be powering it with a treadmill, it would probably be faster than it is now :P

Re: TES Online

Speaking as a former hardware engineer in the telecom business I can say with certanty that copper wires should support up to 25 mb/second at least - I run 10 in my appartement but got 50mb on my phone ( bleah... ).

Anyways the point I wanted to make was that if a hub could be made closer to your home it would drastically improve speeds.

Wolf Rider2 09-13-2013 09:20 PM

Re: TES Online

Well I've never heard of anyone here getting more than maybe 3MB per second. I don't know where the hubs are situated, though...
