learned a new Internet term. Has anyone else heard of "Thumping," which I take to mean posting about your undying love for someone? The kids on my LOTR forum keep posting "Thumps" about Orlando Bloom. Are there any other meanings? BTW, they never use the term, "Spam", there.

Wow...it's like looking into a different world :D

I've never heard of 'thumping' as an internet term, Attalus.

I'm getting old. Thumping has always been a bad thing in my vernacular. ;)

yeah PSO-world had its own language too. With words like "Wall hugging", "fanimation", and "X-boxers". It also had misdemeaning terms like "Fo Sheezy" and "Be A Berry". TSFO SnApple Alone coined 200 terms all about cats, ranging from "Nyan Co" to "Cactus Fish!" to "Mrruckit"

I am further informed that the preferred term is "Thud." As in, "OMG, whenever I think of Orlando, my heart goes 'thud.'" LOL, kids!

Sorry, it's not in the Jargon lexicon so it doesn't count! :D

LOL, it's used by a bunch of young (early teens, I think) kids on my LOTR forum. They have names like "LovinLegolas."
