I have been playing as a mage and I'm thinking of starting again. Does anyone have any suggestions of some really good classes or multi classes?

I suggest trying a Cavalier. Very strong class.

Advantages:
-20% resistant to fire and acid
-immune to fear and poison
-can cast a small number of priest-spells
-can wield the most powerful sword in the game

Disadvantages:
-cant specialize in ranged weapons

Enjoy! </font>

If you want a fighter... a BARBERIAN would do...

You forgot to add that he/she can Turn Undead. Also, if you have ToB installed, Cavaliers gain immunity to Charm as well.

The other thing about Cavaliers is that they have great bonuses to hit dragons and demonic (fell) creatures, which won't matter much in SoA but will be fantastic if you take him/her to ToB!

*beats self liberally.*

Ahhhh! I knew I had left out something! That is correct, Cavaliers get a +3 bonus to hit and damage against Demonic creatures and Dragons.

The poor demon ..... Oh sorry, I like a Mage/Fighter/Thief and if you have ToB installed when you get to a higher level u can get the thief ability USE ANY ITEM. Even NPCs personel items plus you have magic andbrute force.

If you liek amges Sorcerers are very nice

Try a cleric or paladin if yuo liek teh amgic part, cause paladins and Clerics are like a nice mix between fighter and mage
