If you were making a movie of BG2, who would you want to cast for a few roles? Of course, leave out the protagonist (for obvious reasons, i.e. each one would be different!), so who would you cast for Imoen, Minsc, Jaheira, etc...?

MinscRay Winston - He played hardmen in films such as Scum!

That actually sounds pretty good to me (especially Russel Crowe in an evil role. That would definitely be a refreshing change, and I think he'd do a decent Edwin [img]smile.gif[/img] ) I also liked the Catherine Zeta Jones as Viconia! Never thought of that...I like it! Casting for a movie like this would be extremely tough because of the game portraits; the actors/actresses that would be playing the parts would have to look at least partially like the portrait, which would be nearly impossible. But if you could make it a computer - animated film like Final Fantasy: The Spirits Within, you could possibly take the voice actors from the Baldur's Gate series and cast them as their characters, and as a bonus you could make the characters look exactly like the portraits in the game! Kind of an interesting thought...

This is a very interesting topic - ESPECIALLY since at least SOME of the BGII portraits bear a strong resemblance to movie stars already.

So, with that in mind, here are some of my choices...(I couldn't remember some of the names, so I've listed their movie characters instead)

Edwin - Alan Rickman (Die Hard, Robin Hood)
Nalia - Drew Barrymore
Keldorn - Sean Connery
Minsc - Arnold Swarzenegger(sp?)
Cernd - The Indian actor that starred with Arnold in Predator (can't remember his name)
Korgan - John Rhys-Davies (you're right,<font color="cyan">Lavindathar</font>.
Anomen - Charlie Sheen.
Viconia - Halle Barry.
Valygar - Wesley Snipes.
Jaheira - Catherine Zeta-Jones
Haer'Dalis - Legolas from LOTR (Brain Cramp-can't remember his name right now).
Imoen - Jean Grey from X-men (sorry, another Brain Cramp).
Jan - Danny DeVito
Mazzy - Tina Turner (I know...she's too tall, but it's the best I can do).

I couldn't come up with any good suggestions for Aerie or Yoshimo.

Keldorn- I agree with Sean Connery

Imoen- Mila Jovavich (from The Messenger)

Anomen- Billy Zane (he's got a pretty boy look, heh)

Edwin- Gary Oldman (he's got class)

Valygar- Laurence Fishburne would make a better Valygar than Wesley Snipes, IMPO, but this is a "who knows" for me
