I am at the lover levels of the cult of the eye thing, I came accross a brige with riddle that I passed but right after that there are a bunch of anoying Goths that start shooting like machine guns, and every blow really hurts...is there a way to kill them, also how do you deal the millions of shadow things that charge at you!...I would really appreciate your response

A couple of options are availible to you, use a wand of cloudkill from out of sight, buy a potion of absorbtion from roger the fence in the sewers so you have resistance to electricity which is what their attacks do, summon a fire elemental, by the shield of Balduran from the bonus merchants this reflects their attacks, protection from electricity scrolls or spells.

In the beginning I also caught my royal *** trying to get past those beasties.
S P O I L E R . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . There's a spoiler below here, you know. . . . . . .. . . . . . . . . Are you sure you want to read the spoilers? . . . . . . . . . . . . .. Last chance ! . . . . . . . . Ok. Gauths can't see invisible people. They are susceptible to Fire elementals, Invisible stalkers, Mordenkainen's swords, area effect gas based spells, Thief traps, and most of all to two items- a) The Cloak of Magic Reflection, possessed by a Saugh- er .. a Saguh- ... er.. a Sharkman, in the Undersea Citadel. b) The Shield of Balduran - available from a seller in Walkeen's Promenade off the Bonus CD. You can get them to fire away at a Wizard eye, distract them with swarms of summonned cannon fodder, hurt them all in a bunch with Chain Lightening spells, and shoot at them from a (long) distance. Don't bother with Web and Entangle spells- they float, you see. The Shadows are Undead. So they can be Turned, nuked by the Daystar, Hammered by Holy Smite, and dismembered very handily by the Mace of Disruption and AzureEdge. Get the Cleric/Paladin to earn his pay. |
Spoiler/Strategey
* * * * * * * * * * * * * * * I used fire balls on them. I stagered my mages about 25ft apart one in front, would cast the first fire ball then retreat behind the second mage. then second mage would fire ball them as they came forward ( cast spell where they would be when spell goes off) then retreated behind the first mage. Repeat until fried. ------------------ http://www.123imagehost.com/images/b...arrissig02.gif "the memories of a man in his old age, are deeds of a man in his prime" |
What if you use the cloak of the sewers and morph into a mustard jelly ? With the MR you should not take any damage giving other char. in your party the ability to pick them off with ranged weapons. Mind you, I haven't tried this but i am planning on (the unseeing eye is next on the to do list after i got through that Harper stuff).
JR Damned i lost cousin Jan's techno gloves |
If you had Anomen, you could put the cloak of mirrors on him for the Gauths and give him the mace of disruption and if he is high enough, unleash the holy power! er...Turn undead.
However, false dawn(level 6 priest spell) works wonders as does the Daystar, Azure Edge and the Mace of Disruption. For Beholders and their kin, its just luck when you fight them. |
Ok thats for the response, but I have to say that I have none of thos swords and most of those magix spells except for fireball....does anyone have a simpler way? Thanx

For the bonus merchant you need to have the bonus cd. If you have it and its installed he should be standing in the pit where all the food is in the Copper Coronet.
