Guys

I'm playing as a monk and am thinking that in many ways he was an afterthought for the game.

I'm just wondering if there are any specific monk-only weapons/ armour / spells etc.

It would really have given the game a bit extra if the new kits had deadly but specific weapons/armour i.e. give the game real re-playability...

There arent any monk olny weapons that im aware of but there is the Gauntlets of of Crushing that are basicly made for a monk since they are only effctive in hand to had combat. also as you gain levels you armour class goes down and movee rate increases. and your hands become moree powerful weapons as well. ivee played monks a few times and they really are a cool class. sure the guy is cool, but why not some monk robes or a snazzy weapon only usable by monks

btw where do I get the gauntlets of crushing (and what are their specs?)

they are in Sahaugin city and you have to side with the king, i think. you might b able to kill him and take them off his corpse but im not sure of that part.

They are +4 to hit and +4 damage. plus any strength bonuses you might have.

monks can use keldorns armour as a bug i heard, which gives free action and armour class 0

DonkeyWan, if you download the files from the Bonus cd, two new merchants will appear in your game (in the Adventurer's mart and Copper Coronet). One of them sells a monks-only weapon, though I forgot what it was exactly http://www.tgeweb.com/cgi-bin/ubb/no...iles/smile.gif

That monk-only weapon is the Scarlet Ninja-To. It poisons the target, gives an extra attack per round, and is a +3 weapon. I'm sure that the team realized how weak the Monk is at the beginning of the game and made this to compensate.

where can you get the bonus cd?

There aren't any monk specific weapons because a monk's best weapons are his or her hands and feet. There are not monk specific spells but there are the special abilities. Stunning blow, laying on of hands and the truly awesome quivering palm, with which you can fell an enemy with one blow.
