what r the max attribute points you ever started out with, i got 95, is that good or bad

Lavindathar 07-02-2005 07:08 AM

<font color="cyan">Pretty good to be honest.

I've heard people getting over a 100, but I don't roll for ages trying to get good stats.

I roll for about 5 mins, and anything around 90 does me fine!</font>

I think I got 91 or 92 once, although I usually stop with 88 or so. In the end, I always put dexterity up to 18 and constitution up to 18. I usually put my strength up to 18 also, but if I need to be able to cast spells, I ignore that category and put up my intelligence first, then my wisdom somewhat. I usually don't really bother with charisma.

How do you count the points, ging from zero? I know this sounds stupid, but I always wondered. Because I ount mine from all set to 10.

Lavindathar 07-02-2005 05:10 PM

<font color="cyan">The way I count them depends on their class.

Bring all points back to minimum, then see how many you have to spend!</font>

Lord 07-03-2005 12:57 PM

I just add them up...why would you start counting from 10? Some characters have stats less than 10; look at Korgan's charisma in BG2, or Minsc's charisma in BG1.

Lavindathar 07-03-2005 04:53 PM

<font color="cyan">It depends.

Certain classes have to have minimum stats...so, if you reduce everything to minimum, and see how many you have left over.

You just have to know what is a good left over score for each class!</font>

has anyone ever got all 18's for each attribute, or higher?

SixOfSpades 07-04-2005 03:21 AM

I've never heard of anyone making that claim, no.

Lavindathar 07-04-2005 10:35 AM

<font color="cyan">I imagine it's possible if you utilise GateKeeper. I've never wanted to, nor never will try though.</font>
