My skald for some reason seems permanently equipped with a scimitar. I can't remove it or in fact, change ANY weapon slots including my quiver. He's not even holding a scimitar, no one in my party is. I have me, evil bard, korgan, viconia and edwin. The only quests I think I've done are theif guild, korgans book, circus tent, edwins scroll (up to where edwin has discovered first bit of it). It didn't happen in the circus, some time after that.
The only thing I can think of is it's something to do with Habib (the idiot who always throws his scimitar at you when entering the docks), although I've played the game many times and never come across this. I'm going to try a remove curse, but I still don't know how it happened ? |
if the remove curse doesn't work, export the affected characters, save the game, and load it as a multiplayer game. delete the affected characters on the loaded game, and import the ones you previously exported. Open under single, and the bug should be fixed (happened to me before), fixed because all your items are gone. Worried about getting them back? use the CLUA console...it's not cheating cuz ur fixing a bug.

Known bug.
Get the latest patches to stop it happening again. |
I have the latest ToB official patch already. I tried remove curse... nothing
and a temple wouldn't even offer it to me rhapsody will what you said work when it's the protagonist ? I mean will it wreck any global variables or timers or anything ? is there maybe a way with shadow keeper that would be easier ? |
i copied the savegame to mpsave, loaded it up and that was it
whatever the problem was is gone. I moved it back to single player and it's still fixed thanks rhapsody |

To remove it, use SK to clear your weapon slots. You might need to re-create the items you had. |
i already got it sorted out, thanks anyway
is the Baldurdash fixpack just a fix pack or does it do things like improved encounters ? I think I passed it over when I saw it cause I thought it was going to make things harder. Improved encounters (apart from theif stronghold and nalia mod) are more than I need when the game is still giving some challenges at Core rules level. I'll probably try finishing the game at Insane or solo on core before I install any of the advanced bad-guys mods |

that's the only major problem, and its not that major. Another problem is that your information resets. All your party kills and party xp resets, and so does your "time with party". So you have a protagonist that has been with the party for a lesser time than his followers. Unrealistic, but it doesn't affect gameplay. |
On the whole, though, ShadowKeeper is alot less trouble, i think.
