There are several items like that which are just good for selling. It includes things like the Ankraag(sp.) head in the Windspear Hills quest before you get to Firkraag or a wyvren had when you cast the spell and a wyvrn gets killed.

Well, you can make the Ankheg thingy armor if you visit Cromwell. But it really isn't worth it in this game.

I know! Ironic, too, because in BG1 it was one of the best armors in the game, and available pretty early on, too (if you found the one hidden in the Nashkel field).

By the time most people get to Windspear in BG2, you've got plenty better armor than the Ankheg would produce.

Something I do for fun, use Shadowkeeper to get as many Ankheg Armors as possible, then I recruit NPC's using the CTRL Q method, equip them, and send them to the Copper Coronet. I have an army that way, lol! We will take over the world, hehe...haha...MWUHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!

I found that if my Druid summoned wolves, when they get killed they drop their own fur as a pelt. thats where they come from. Handy if you're short of cash....
