Geek alert!

1234567890 Day

This Friday, in addition to being Friday, is also 1234567890 Day. At 6:31 pm EST on that day, the Unix time will be 1234567890. Unix time is defined as the number of seconds elapsed since midnight Coordinated Universal Time (UTC) of January 1, 1970, not counting leap seconds. It is widely used not only on Unix-like operating systems but also in many other computing systems. No hefty celebrations, you rabble-rousers... |
Re: Geek alert!
Boy, I feel I can die now that you have imparted that knowledge unto me!

Re: Geek alert!
Well that settles that. Thank you god.

Re: Geek alert!
Just don't die before 6:31, or all will have been for naught. Kind of like a computer, often mistaken for a planet (because of its size and use of biological components), being destroyed by Vogons to make way for a hyperspatial express route, five minutes before the conclusion of its 10-million-year program....

Re: Geek alert!

Pardon me for breathing, which I never do any way so I don't know why I bother to say it, oh God, I'm so depressed...

Re: Geek alert!
If I am ever in fear that I may be too big a geek...I can always come here to reassure my self that I am not even in the
running for King Geek. :) |
