Ladisha gave him a pointed look,
"I am serious, Ailurin. Don't touch him, and don't goad him. The Light knows how much he hates us already," her eyes fell on Keely as the girl hurried up, "Hello, child, come, sit here in Ailurin's spot and I will tell you of some things that are a nessecity for surviving as a novice in the Tower..." Keely eagerly hopped into Ailurin's seat and listened attentivley. |
Ailruin scowled. He wasn't going to goad that idiot man. Although, it would be fun. His use of mental language made his Aes Sedai gasp - it included "Light burn those bloody, damned Whitecloaks into bloody flaming ashes to the hells, and may the shadow consume their miserable bloody..." and so forth. Ailurin wasn't usually one to swear - overly so, for a male. ( to LB)However his face was his usual warder mask, and he gracefully accended the stairs. He went into their room, and glanced at the Whitecloak in disgust. He checked for the weaves, both though the bond, and with Saidin...

"So how long will I have to be a novice?" Keely inquired as they climbed the stairs to Ladisha's room.
"That depends, child. If you learn quickly and don't break the rules, you may only be there for 2 or 3 years. Some sisters had to be novices for 10 years before they could rice to Accpeted," she assured her as Keely's mouth dropped open, "But with my help I am sure you will progress quickly," "Really?" Keely's bright green eyes were shining. "You most certainly will. Now, I had an extra bed brought up, so you won't have to worry about sleeping on the floor," They reached Ladisha's room and she opened the door to find the White Cloak still sleeping, weaves still in place. Ladisha nodded at Ailurin then pointed out the weaves to Keely, who leaned forward, her eyes wide. She must have never seen a weave before. Not unusual in a town like this. |
Ailurin smiled to himself, and send a mental message along the bond; "When are you planning on telling her what I am? If ever?" He paused and continued "Should I channel around her Mistress?" Aloud he said, "I'm turning in, good night both of you."
|
I already did tell her, Ailurin, at dinner, remember?
Ladisha straightened and smiled at him, "Good night Ailurin," she touched Keely's arm and the girl looked up from the White Cloak, "Look at me child, and tell me what you see," Ladisha opened herself to saidar and those big green eyes widened again. "You're glowing, Aes Sedai," "Excellent," Ladisha released the source with a sigh, "I will begin teaching you how to surrender to saidar tomorrow. Take that bed and get a good night's rest," A grin bloomed on Keely's face at the mention of learning to channel and she nearly skipped into the adjoining closet to ready herself for bed. Chuckling to herself,Ladisha unbottoned her dress with small strands of Air, folding it carefuly and putting it away, before she flopped into the large bed, curling herself luxuriously under the goose down quilts. |
'yes, I suppose so. Sleep well.' he sighed, and stripped, then climbed into the bed, perching almost at the edge, staying as far away from his Aes Sedai as psychically possible. After almost falling off, grudgingly he sidled closer slightly, his head touching the pillow. He sighed deeply, realising he'd never get any sleep if he didn't lie better on the bed. Sighing again, he snuggled closer towards his Aes Sedai, the bond transfering his uncomfortableness. He knew he was being silly, but he couldn't help it. Finally he gave up trying to keep his distance and settle down. Impusively, his hand snaked out and caught hers and he whsipered down the link; 'I love you, good night' he closed his eyes, and was asleep in seconds.

Ladisha smiled at her Warder and nodded at Keely as she entered, not commenting as her green eyes lingered on Ailurin, flashed to herself, then quickly to the ground as she curtsied,
"Thank you, Ladisha Sedai, I will speak to you in the morning?" Ladisha nodded again and Keely pulled back the covers of the spare bed and snuggled deeply under them. Ladisha watched her until it seemed she had fallen asleep. She traced a thumb softly across Ailurin's knuckles and channeled the lamp out. |
Ailruin awoke the next morning, he sighed contentedly, and moved his arm, coming awake he was startled to find it around Ladisha Sedai, and her snuggled up against him. He blinked, and softly released her, turning away and burying his face in the pillow, and silent tears ran into it.'Shes an Aes Sedai!' he thought 'shes older then me! Old enough to be my mother!' he trembled, and was suddenly exceedingly afraid.

The after a few hundred miles of marching later...
"Sir... We've spotted foot prints in the ground... it's as if there was a vast army of hooved warriors heading to the north!" "REALLY?" the pig-like captain snorted... "FINALLY we've found somehting OUT in this lifeless wasteland!..." There were indeed many foot and hoofprints... they lead northernly, and connected in a formation identical to the troops in ... their... own... "d'oh!" "I seem to have forgotten that we're supposed to follow the sun in the day when... or maybe its move away from it when... uh..." "you stupid Navigating Half-breed!" "hey! you followed my stupid directions!" Chaos Ensued... "I'm sure this problem can be amended!" "We went around in a gal-dang circle!!! We're where we STARTED with half as many suplies! We may as well have just not left until now!" A few hours of bickering and one roasted navigater on a flame pit later... "ALRIGHT we're going SOUTH WEST! forget directions! we're gonn march until we GET to where we're going!" and so the army charged on with a new vigour hoping to reach their destination in half the time, seeing as they'd already wasted half of their time walking around in a giant circle... |
A sudden surge of awareness through the bond stirred Ladisha from her peaceful sleep. Grief flooded her mind and she noticed Ailurin was trembling. It was still night, the sun would not be close to rising for hours yet. Frowning, she sat up and touched his shoulder, "Ailurin, what is wrong?"
