for solo i would definatley have at least part thief. Im doin F/T at the moment but am going to start again once i get the bg1 into bg2 patch although in that u get some hard enemies near the start. F/M/T is quite cool and i am considering that for when i start again but i dont like how your weapon choices are restricted with that.

That aside... if you're still interested, I can try to come up with something. It'll be awfully general, though, from the reasons mentioned above.

I wonder if there was a hint to be taken in that...ah, well. You're right. A guide would be a bit silly. Well, if I have any advice, I know where to go...

...Forgotten Wars, of course! :D

You've lost me, here. If you're taking the "evil path", you'll get +1 to your main stat - Wisdom, in that case (as you're a Cleric/Mage and not a Mage/Cleric). If you're taking the "good path", you'll get +1 Wisdom & Charisma. You exactly are you getting both of them?

Damn, of course you do! Thanks for the correction. I was thinking the character could take the evil path, getting +1 WIS upon giving into the taint, and then get the +1 WIS and CHA from the tear of Bhaal, but of course, this would now give +2 STR. Doh! I think I'll revert to my previous statement of 24 WIS. Still not too shabby though! </font>
The devil sitting on my right shoulder wonders what happens when you say, "No! I will not give in to the taint!" ....but then go ahead and turn into the Slayer anyway. There's a reasonable chance that BioWare may have scripted the Slayer change to trigger the +1 to Primary stat, without disrupting the "gets Good Bhaal Tear" set in the conversation. Or, taking a slightly different route, turning into the Slayer as soon as you enter the room, and then entering Sarevok's sight range and professing to be Good. I've found my own original exploits for Greed, Fear, and Pride, and of course the SI: Div cheese in Selfish is well-known, so the only one left is Wrath.

Interesting! Interesting enough to motivate me to check it in the Infinity Explorer. As far as I can tell, there's no check for whether Player1 is a Slayer or not. If you pick the "evil" dialogue options, a certain variable is set to 2. The area script constantly checks whether that variable is equal to 2 - and if it is - you gain the stat increase and lose your [ranger/paladin]hood. But go ahead! Prove me wrong! Gee.. I am just amazed by everything that you guys know, and the way you try to benefit most out of each situation, eh Six ;) Amazing how much time you can stick into one game :D (Not that I disapprove of anything; I love BG2 a lot! )

Which are? :D

SixOfSpades 06-24-2003 09:56 PM

I've sent them to UserUnfriendly, and they'll be in the next update to his Cheese Guide, whenever that is. The exploit for Pride isn't much to get excited about (22000 party EXP and 100 gold, whoopdy doo), but Greed and Fear are....interesting.

Dace De'Briago 06-25-2003 06:25 AM

Do tell :D

I'm approaching hell at top speed and need to know this :D If you don't want it being spread around, just message the 'how to' to me (k)

Cheers dear.
