For Adohorn:

The dagger missed the warg's leg yet the arrow hit it in the stomach. With a yelp of pain the warg turned around and started half running and half limping down the left hand side corridor.

Bozos of Bones 10-10-2004 11:42 AM

Roland placed his foot on the man's shoulder, and pulled the blade out. The captain fell to the floor, and clutched at his shoulder with his other hand. Roland assumed a defensive stance at first, but saw that the captain had no intention of fighting any more. He loosened his tension, and crouched before the man. He asked in a relaxed voice <font color=lightgreen>"Where is Robyn?"</font>

dplax 10-10-2004 11:47 AM

For Roland:

The captain got up and resheathed his blade and then clutched at his shoulder.

<font color=blue>"Had you asked before attacking I would have replied. I do not agree with what Lord Easthome has done here. For once he has gone too far. If you wish after I get my shoulder taken care of I can take you to Robyn."</font>

Quote:

We are the only survivors. Both Kalam and Therlion are dead."
<font color=skyblue>Turin

When Turin heard this, he cursed aloud and threw down his sword and ripped his shirt from his back, then threw it on the ground as well.

"Damn all creation! We failed this people and let the Enemy prevail again! I will put an end to this evil battle once and for all, nor will my dead body rest until I have revenged the blood of the innocent and good!"

He picked up his sword and started stomping off toward the city they had just left.</font>

OOC>>>Those companions that know a little of Turin's past may make the judgement that hearing the news of a fallen person he was supposed to protect such as Kalam only served to remind him of his own family's death years ago, when he was then powerless to stop the enemy from harming them.

dplax 10-11-2004 01:58 PM

For Turin, Terias and Kirūn:

The guard who had broken them the news looked surprised at Turin getting so upset about it. He made a handsign to the guard who had been travelling with Turin and they went off a few dozen meters deep in talk. They talked for about five minutes and then came to a decision. The guard who had been travelling with them walked over to Terias and Kirūn.

<font color=blue>"I am sorry for the confusion but it seems that Therlion had asked these three to give this news. In reality Kalam has only been poisoned and Keal and Therlion are taking him to get help deeper into the mountains. I'm not sure you know Keal, but he is an elf we met yesterday."</font>

In the meanwhile the guard who had told the initial news to Turin and company jumped on his horse and rushed off after Turin who by then was quite some distance away. As he approached him he shouted from a distance:

<font color=AAAAAA>"I am sorry for the misunderstanding just before. I though you were on Lord Easthome's side.</font>

He then explained the situation to Turin.

Larry_OHF 10-11-2004 02:20 PM

<font color=skyblue>Turin

"Ah...I see then the wisdom of your choice to tell us differently. I actually still have the warm blood stains of that very Lord Easthome upon my sword and now it will be my duty to help young lord Kalam take the ruling position in this town so that my company and I can move on and deal with the next threat. What do you require of us? Shall we go back to the city and secure the position for Kalam's return? I already have some people there now, doing just that. </font>

dplax 10-11-2004 02:26 PM

For Turin:

<font color=AAAAAA>"You killed Easthome? That is good news indeed. About what you should need to do. If you tell us who your man in town is the four of us could help him, while you go help Kalam. He seemed to be in bad shape when we left him."</font>

The guard then proceeded to explain to Turin where they had left Kalam and Therlion and told him that they had prepared to go into the mountains.

<font color=AAAAAA>"If you want we could leave you horses so that you can move faster. We could explain that they had died in the battle."</font>

Morgan_Corbesant 10-12-2004 01:21 PM

OOC: Sorry I've been away. I've had some issues at home and have been doing some stuff for the Army.

Celedor thought for a moment and said <font color=red> "No, I think not. My mission is to follow these orcs and report back myself. I will do as asked, I'm sure you understand". I thank you for your assistance, and look forward to working together again some time. </font>

dplax 10-12-2004 01:34 PM

OOC: As the characters are getting closer to each other there are some timeline issues coming up so I may not reply to a post when it is made as I shall be waiting for other events to happen first. Events which are yet to be discussed in the roleplay. This concerns mostly Turin's group and Celedor, who although they are geographically close are actually a day apart in the timeline (by geographically close I mean a few hours travel away from each other. And also Roland who is between the two timewise. I'll explain a bit. Where Turin's group is now it is about the middle of the day. For Roland it is the night before and for Celedor it is the afternoon before. I hope that makes sense to everyone.

dplax 10-12-2004 01:39 PM

For Celedor:

<font color=green>"Well I wish you good luck with the rest of your mission. We shall meet again soon however as the place I am headed to eventually is the same to which the orcs shall go sooner or later."</font>

Feldorn after then saying goodbye to Celedor started running towards the east, in the direction towards which Therlion had went. Or so had his sources told him.

OOC: Celedor now has the choice to follow the main body of the orcs or to follow the about forty who have gone ahead towards the town.

Bozos of Bones 10-12-2004 02:14 PM

<font color=lightgreen>"I.. Well, you were the one who pulled out the sword first! What was I to assume, you meant to knight me or something? I appologise for my rash decisions, but I only acted in defense. No doubt you were too."</font> Roland walked over to the crippled guard laying dead on the floor. The man died because of this.. failure to communicate. Roland's fists clenched the weapon in his hands, his face going red with anger. Angry at himself for being so rash, and angry at the captain for not talking sooner... <font color=lightgreen>"You said you would take me to Robyn."</font> Roland was barely containing his temper.

dplax 10-12-2004 02:19 PM

For Roland:

<font color=blue>"I did say that, however I did also say that I would first get my shoulder taken care of. You know it's not a pleasant feeling to have a hole in you. So I would just calm down if I were you. Besides Robyn is in no immediate danger. And besides it was not me, who broke in here. What did you do with the guard outside?"</font>

With his still good shoulder he pointed towards where he had come from and him and Roland went into his room, where he bandaged his wound.
</font>

Bozos of Bones 10-12-2004 03:01 PM

<font color=lightgreen>"I was worried about Robyn at the time. I couldn't think of a plan, or of the situation before hand. I am affraid I have had to kill him aswell."</font> Roland sank deep into his regret, realising that both the killings were not neccessary.

dplax 10-12-2004 03:16 PM

For Roland:

<font color=blue>"Both of them were young men, still looking forward to most of their life, and one of them only aged 26 was already the father of five. His brother who was the other guard had just gotten engaged two weeks ago. These killings were totally unnecessary as you yourself must have also realised now."

"Look I realise much more than what you tell me. I know why Lord Easthome wanted to send you to kill his son. I know he would not have let you come back into the city to look for Robyn. What have you done to the Lord?"</font>

The captain did not look menacing, he was just curious. It even seemed that he did not really care.

Bozos of Bones 10-12-2004 06:05 PM

<font color=lightgreen>"We h.. he is dead. Just like..." </font>Roland looked at the captain, and tried to grasp the fact that he had snuffed out two lives. They may be soldiers, on the opposing side, he may even have been defending himself, but the bare fact remained, they were dead. They died without need, and their deaths could have easily been avoided. He tried imagining the five children now without a father, a bride without a husband-to-be, their families. Roland was sickened by the image. He must atone, with whatever deeds or possessions possible. Then, the thought of Robyn reminded him that the living have more pressing matters than the dead. <font color=lightgreen>"Please, take me to Robyn now."</font>

dplax 10-13-2004 07:49 AM

For Roland:

<font color=blue>"So at last he is dead. I suppose we should be grateful for that, for he is the one who led us the wrong way."</font>

He reached over his table and rang a small bell. About a minute later a soldier came in and him and the captain talked in a whisper for several minutes. Roland was too lost in his thoughts to understand. After the guard left the captain turned to Roland:

<font color=blue>"My men are going to take the bodies of the dead and prepare them for burial. Let us go and get Robyn. She has been taken to one of the Easthome's houses at the northern edge of town."</font>

The guard captain with his right arm now in a sling led Roland through the streets of the town. At the end of a street they reached a small house in front of which a man, who looked like a beggar was lying on the ground. At the sign of the two of them approaching he got up and was just about to ask them for some money when he recognised his captain.

<font color="123456">"How may I help you sir?"</font>

<font color=blue>"Release the prisoner. Yes, you heard me right. Release her!"</font>

<font color=123456>"Yes sir!"</font>

The guard, disguised as a beggar went into the house and came out about ten minutes later followed by Robyn, who apart from looking tired did not seem to be harmed.

Celedor decides to follow the smaller group. <font color=yellow> " Better to follow them and see if they meet up with the larger group than to allow them to wreak havoc as I follow their friends. At least I have a better chance against the smaller group if it comes to fighting ". </font> he thought to himself.

With that, Celedor started off toward the smaller group, hopeing they would eventually meet back up with the larger group later on.

Larry_OHF 10-14-2004 10:11 AM

<font color=skyblue>Turin

"Very good. We will take the horses and go find Kalam. I have something that may help him return to health speedily. Meanwhile you can seach out my man named Roland. He and a lady named Robyn are part of my crew and will be of great help to you. We shall return as soon as we can. Good luck to you. With Easthome out of the way, it should not be so hard to take back control of the city." </font>

dplax 10-14-2004 11:12 AM

For Turin, Terias and Kirūn:

After you leave the guards the journey goes smoothly.

OOC:Sorry, really short post, you shall reach Therlion and Keal at the same time that Adohorn gets back (if he does :D ). But since he is still in the middle of the fight, you'll just have to wait for him to resolve his situation.

dplax 10-14-2004 11:14 AM

For Celedor:

You follow the smaller group for several hours and their goal now is clear to you. They are heading without doubt towards the human city, though why, still remains a mistery. Now that you have determined their destination you have the choice of either go ahead them or continue trailing them.

dplax 10-14-2004 11:21 AM

EDIT: thread limit has been reached. Post in the new thread please. In the meanwhile I shall ask Larry to lock this one.

OOC: As seen in this post I have finally decided to give a name to the Easthome's town. Should have thought about it ages ago. The town is called Calladia.

<font color=green>Feldorn

Feldorn ran across the plains aiming to catch up with Therlion. He was sorry for Celedor not coming with him, for since his torture he prefered to be in the company of others. His spirit had been very deeply scarred. As night fell and throughout the night he ran on, only resting once to eat half the provisions he had taken with himself. He was still running when the sun rose in the eastern sky. A new day was upon them, a day during which the fate of Calladia was going to be decided. A few hours after daybreak Feldorn encountered the four soldiers who had left Turin's group only a few hours ago. Hearing all the news they had to tell Feldorn's heart was gladdened. He was confident in Turin's ability to help Therlion. He was also glad to hear that he wasn't the only one to have escaped from the stronghold. However the three soldiers told him of more pressing matters. It seemed that Turin had taken care of Lord Easthome. Help was going to be needed in town. The guards offered Feldorn a horse and he rode with them in great haste.</font>
