Ah! Bosche! I think Bosche and I see a nail gun LOL! Thank you, I will certainly look into your suggestions!
I love the fact that Grandpa has some old Craftsman tools around here...found a few things in his shed...reminds me of my dad. http://www.tgeweb.com/cgi-bin/ubb/no...iles/smile.gif (I shall remember to tease you more in the future then!) http://www.tgeweb.com/cgi-bin/ubb/no...miles/wink.gif http://www.tgeweb.com/cgi-bin/ubb/no...es/biggrin.gif Moni ------------------ http://members.aol.com/lasttrueprincess/images/ltp4.gif |

All joking aside, I have to tell you that the birth of my two children were the two most momentus occasions of my life followed by my wedding over twelve years ago (and she ain't killed me yet) and going off to war in 1990. Til the day I die
I will remember all of the details of those two occasions. Simply incredible! especially at the end when they are finally here and you get to hold them for the first time. That's when you realize what lifes all about. Then it scares the hell out of you. That also when all of your priorties change. But you will find that out soon enough. That dream of owning a Mustang Cobra convertible gets replaced by owning a Dodge minivan. Yeap life as you know it is about to change. ------------------ Sir Taliesin If they take my gun can I still use my Claymore? |
BTW does anyone know when I get my next star? I thought it was when you goover 200
posts. I'm well past that. ------------------ Sir Taliesin If they take my gun can I still use my Claymore? |

So, do I understand correctly? Are you a Vet.? If so, my hat is off to you sir. |
Yeah, thanks! Wasn't much of a war though, thank god! We called it the war without a sound track.

And the car . . . I sold the first new car I had ever bought -- 93 Dodge Shadow, stick shift, 3.0L engine, all of the bells and whistles I had wanted. I bought a mini-van. Oh well. Carseat wouldn't fit in the Shadow. http://www.tgeweb.com/cgi-bin/ubb/no...miles/wink.gif BTW: Bilqis food in Freeport is just as bland -- ho-hum. I keep hoping to find decent Buffalo Wings http://www.tgeweb.com/cgi-bin/ubb/no...iles/smile.gif. Probably never will since the natives consider Taco Bell to be spicy. LOL. We do, however, have a decent assortment of greasy spoons -- sorry to rub it in onthepequod. ------------------ http://www.angelfire.com/anime2/memn...ges/bronze.gif Most Subtle Official Straightman of the Laughing Hyenas -- Grammarian Brigade. |

However, here in the Twin Cities we do have a remarkable greasy spoon known as Mickey's. Everything from the name to the decor to the waitress is quintessential. Its the old '40s Trolley car style and has been around forever. I believe Mickey's has been featured in Jingle All the Way and both of the Mighty Duck's movies. Last year a friend came to visit and since we both love greasy spoons, I took him to Mickeys. Once we were ready to order, my friend informed the waitress that this would probably be the only time he would be in Mickey's and would like to make it memorable! "Well," she said, "I could melt some spatula in your breakfast, that would make it memorable. Or I could make you come back here and wash dishes, that would make it memorable." To that my friend said, "I think I'll just order." http://www.tgeweb.com/cgi-bin/ubb/no...iles/uhoh2.gif So he ordered an omelet, toast, and some coffee. Then she asked if he would like some Potatoes O'Brien. He inquired as to what Potatoes O'Brian were and she told him. She went on to say that everybody ordered Potatoes O'Brian and many people came solely for that reason. To this my friend declined because we were going mountain biking after breakfast and he didn't want to be too full. The Waitress continued "So would you like some Potatoes O'Brian?!" Friend: "No thanks." Waitress: "You need to have some Potatoes O'Brian." Friend: "No thanks" Waitress: "You need Potatoes O'Brian!" Friend: "Ok." Waitress: "Orange Juice?" Friend: "No thanks." Waitress: "Yeah, we had better make that a large!" Friend: "Ok." Then she moved on to me but I had learned my lesson. So when she asked if I wanted Potatoes O'brian, I answered "absolutely." And when she asked a bout orange juice, I said, "I'll take a large." Boy was she crusty! She looked to be the type that would actually try to physically toss us out if we gave her too much trouble. If you remember that '70s dinner sit-com, image Flo only considerably more cantankerous. I do have to say, that was one of the best breakfasts I have ever had (especially the Potatoes O'Brian). What a great breakfast. Complete with ambiance. http://www.tgeweb.com/cgi-bin/ubb/no...es/biggrin.gif Mountain biking, an hour later, (esp. the hill climbs) was a little tougher than we had expected. Due to the exceedingly heavy breakfast. http://www.tgeweb.com/cgi-bin/ubb/no...miles/puke.gif If you're ever in the Twin Cities, Mickeys is a must! http://www.tgeweb.com/cgi-bin/ubb/no...es/biggrin.gif Just hit it during daylight since the area is a little rougher (nothing to be too worried about though). Well I'm off to "BUY ME ANOTHER BOARD." Good day all! http://www.tgeweb.com/cgi-bin/ubb/no...es/xyxwave.gif [This message has been edited by onthepequod (edited 05-12-2001).] |
