ooc>>Keal, I think you need to edit your post, didn't you notice that you just got hit by an arrow?

Celedor picks up his gear and nods his aggreement to the newfound friend. <font color=green> "Let us move quickly then". </font>

For Celedor:
Celedor and Feldorn follow the orcs from a distance for a greater part of the day. In the middle of the afternoon the orcs make camp and a group of about 40 orcs leave the group continuing on. <font color=green>"They are the ones who shall parley with the people in the town. If their visit is resultless all the orcs shall attack. Our men already reported back to the ones who gave you your mission about the orcs intent. You can consider your mission finished. Now shall you come with me to meet my friends?"</font> He pointed in an easterly direction. OOC: the orcs are north of you |
ooc:I thought the warg did

dplax said "Adohorn nimbly swung his bow off his back fitted an arrow in the quiver and fired and hit. Keal. Keal who had started to pursue the fleeing warg had moved in the wrong moment and Adohorn's arrow hit him in the right shoulder."
So yes, you've got an arrow sticking out of your back. |
I changed it.

Therlion saw that Kalam's horse was dead, and was falling down. He summoned up all his strength to jump up and run to Kalam to ease his fall from the slain animal. He gripped firmly, but realised he didn't hav nearly enough strength to lift him, and just let Kalam fall on top of him, braking his fall.
|
For Therlion, Adohorn and Keal:
Therlion took a few bumps from the fall, but he managed to ease Kalam's fall. Kalam's horse in a shudder fell to its knees and then collapsed into a heap. However the horse that Therlion had been using suddenly started thrashing around in its death agony and while doing so sprayed Therlion and Kalam with a lot of blood coming from its torn open throat. Keal's shoulder is starting to hurt a lot more and blood is starting to flow faster from the wound. |
Therlion opened his mouth in pain, but remained silent. He moved Kalam over to the side, and looked at his left knee. Blood was all over him, and he couldn't discern what was his, and what wasn't. He got up, with his left leg stiffly straight, and hopped over to the nearest big rock. He kicked the stone with his left leg with all his strength, and the knee popped in a hideous sound. <font color=silver>"Aaaargh!"</font> he screamed, and then looked suddenly relieved. He stood on both his feet firmly, and walked over to Kalam to see if he's been injured. Confident he wasn't hurt more, he sat down and turned to Keal, and the trail of blood flowing over his arm to a small red pool underneath him. <font color=silver>"Keal, are you hurt bad? You're bleeding alot."</font>
|
<font color = red> Terias watched the riderless horses, shocked at what could do such a thing. He quickly went up to the 4 riders that were left, and said "Are you hurt?". He thought the questions about what happened could wait until later. </font>
|
Keal squints his eyes from the pain, but says,<font color=red> "No, I should be fine,"</font> he tears some of his shirt and raps up the wound.<font color=red>"Maybe Ardana can do something for all of us,"</font> Keal says.
|
For Turin, Terias and Kirūn:
The foremost of the riders got off his horse and gave the stirrups to his companion. <font color=blue>"No, we are not hurt."</font> He looked at all of them and then spotted the guard who was with Kalam. Yet he did not know whom the others served and why they were following his and his companions earlier traces. So he gave them the version they had agreed upon with Therlion: <font color=blue>"There was a battle between the two halves of our group. Those supporting Kalam and those supporting his father. We are the only survivors. Both Kalam and Therlion are dead."</font> OOC: That's not true really but it was Therlion who told the soldiers to use this story. |
For Therlion, Adohorn and Keal:
Therlion's horse twitched one last time then sank to the ground also dead. In the distance the howl of the warg who had escaped could be heard. OOC: I'm leaving time for you three to heal the wounded, and prepare to leave. After you've done that I shall move the plot. |
<font color=#3300FF>Adohorn
This had gotten messy. Adohorn had been hoping to take all the Wargs out easily, but one had been cleverer than he had expected. Maybe things were evolving, maybe Wargs had gathered intelligence over the years. Or maybe that one was special. Adohorn could only speculate. Bending down he looked to the wounded two, Keal first. His arm was pouring with the blood where he had pulled the arrow out. Maybe Adohorn could temporarily heal the wound. He heard the Warg howling in the distance, he turned. He could chase it he thought, but the others might need help. "Therlion, are you in a fit state? Could you tend to Keal if I went after that Warg? There is something special about it, I have never seen a Warg so intelligent in all my many years." </font> |
<font color=silver>"Yes. Go, I can manage Keal's wounds."</font> Therlion could barely manage his own body, let alone see Keal's wound, or provide any help. Nausea has set in once again, and he could feel the coldness of his sweat.

<font color=#3300FF>Adohorn
Adohorn saw the expression on Therlion's face, it was obvious to him that he was keeping all the pain in and that Keal was also suffering. But Adohorns need for knowledge overtook him, and he ran off after the creature, shouting back "I will return as quick as my knowledge will let me!" And with that he continued to run, trying to pinpoint the Wargs screach. |
For Adohorn:
Night had already fully fallen as Adohorn made his way across the narrow valley. The last he had heard the warg's howl it had come from high up on the other side of the valley. The climbing wouldn't have been easy for a human but Aldohorn managed to move on at near his normal speed. The slope was getting steeper and fallen rocks could be seen here and there, indicating that avalanches had happened in the past few weeks. The clouds suddenly parted and the light of the moon shining off the snow in the valley gave a slight illumination to the mountainside Adohorn was climbing. Ahead of him he could make out the footprints of the warg going up the slope in a zigzag. He followed them for some time but then suddenly the footprints stopped as the snow gave way to a flat rock. As Adohorn walks around the rock he can't see the wargs footprints leaving it, yet clearly the warg isn't on the rock either. Besides his own faint breathing Adohorn can't hear anything and he can't smell the warg either. |
<font color=#3300FF>Adohorn
Adohorn looked around, conscious that he had been apart from the group for a while, but lust for knowledge of the world had overtaken him. He must find the Warg. Looking under the rock he focused all his senses on anything that would give it away. Surely it couldn't have just vanished. </font> |
For Adohorn:
Just as Adohorn bent down to look under the rock clouds obscured the moon again. Under the rock the ground was warm yet no sign of the warg could be seen. Then suddenly chilling the night air the howl of the warg came again, this time from Adohorn's right although from some distance. As Adohorn looked in the direction specified he saw a rock about 4 meters away from the one he had been inspecting. |
<font color=#3300FF>Adohorn
Adohorn turned, hearing another call. He looked to the rock, the Warg's actions clicking together. Lightly hopping up and over the rock, he made his way right at a medium pace. This Warg was a smart one. </font> [ 10-09-2004, 09:52 AM: Message edited by: RoSs_bg2_rox ] |
OOC: Sythe has told me that unfortunately he shall not be able to participate in the game anymore. He has told me that I can do anything with his character and after discussion with a player I have decided that he gets control over Roland. So Bozos you have a new character to control.
|
For Adohorn:
Although no footprints could be seen in the sand for sometime Adohorn by following the rocks which were close to each other could follow the warg. After a few dead ends his efforts were rewarded and in a small patch of snow on top of a low rock he found a footprint then about fifty meters later the footprints continued regularly. Adohorn followed them for about half an hour then the footprints disappered suddenly in front of a rockface. |
Roland left the house in a hurry, heading for the town hall. <font color=lightgreen>Is she being held there, or is this really a cordial invitation? If they are keeping her captive, how many guards are around her?</font> he was imagining the options as he approached the gates of the hall. <Font color=yellow>"Halt. Where are you off to?"</font> a guard asked. He held a halberd, as did the other guard next to him. Roland assessed the situation, and the possible fight before he started talking <font color=lightgreen>"I am here on an invitation by the lord Easthome. I believe my friend is already inside."</font>
[ 10-09-2004, 07:17 PM: Message edited by: Bozos of Bones ] |
For Roland:
<font color=yellow>"Wait a moment please. I shall go and get my captain. I do not have the authority to let you in before finding out whether you really have the right to enter."</font> He went through the door, leaving his companion alone. |
Roland waited untill the guard left and closed the gates. He looked around to see if anyone is watching and then quickly drew his bastard sword and ran towards the guard. The guard tried to block with his halberd, but the sword passed it and dug into the man's chest. Quickly, Roland dug the sword out, cleaned it and then lifted the body of the guard on his back. He entered the hall, and took a look around. The long room with doors on the sides had no guards in it. Roland approached the closest door and silently opened it... it was full of clothes, and naturally, free of guards. Cramming the body inside the small room, Roland put coats all over the guard's corpse so it isn't seen, and the blood isn't too apparent. He resumed walking silently through the hall. The guard that left for the captain wasn't going to come back for another minute or so, and he probably wasn't coming back alone. Roland had precious little time to inspect the main hall. He apporached the door to the main room and lied down on the floor, counting hos many guard's legs he can see through the crack between the door and the floor.
[ 10-09-2004, 08:07 PM: Message edited by: Bozos of Bones ] |
For Roland:
As Roland lay down on the floor he heard the sound of footsteps and then a door opening. As he quickly got up he saw the guard from the main entrance step out with someone who clearly looked like an officer. It seemed that the captain had been awake. Roland had had slightly less time than he had estimated. Turning around they spotted him and the captain drew his sword. The guard just positioned his halberd in a more agressive position. |
<font color=orange>Keal looks over at the snow, and manages to get to it. He sits down, and starts putting the cold, wet snow over the wound. After a while the bleeding slows a little, and the pain isn't nearly as bad as it was before."Therloin... here, try to put this on your wounds."</font>
OOC: I'm just thinking that the snow could work as ice and cold water, if this isn't okay with you I'll edit the post. |
Therlion took a big snowball and rubbed his knee with it. The pain was going away slowly, and the muscles weren't as tense as before. <font color=silver>"Thank you, Keal. It helps."</font> Therlion looked around the site, at the dead horses, the wargs and at Kalam. He had no idea how they were now going to Ardana, in this state.
*** * * * *** Roland quickly rose from the floor, drew his sword again, and lunged for the captain. The time for talking was long gone, and the only way out of this was through the bodies of Easthome's guards. He swung his sword to cleave the captain, but the man not only swept the blade away with his own, but proceeded to swipe at Roland. Rolling to the side, Roland saw the guard bringing down the halberd at him. With no time to get up, or defend from the halberd in mid-swipe, Roland cleaved the guard's legs off with his bastard sword, and, as the man screamed, the halberd fell to the side. The guards would be alerted by this man's scream, but Roland had a more pressing problem, the captain. Getting up, he gripped the bastard sword firmly in both hands and attacked the captain once more. His bastard sword knocked the man's sword aside, and Roland tried to take another swing at the captain, but the man already had his guard up. |
For Roland:
The captain easily defended Roland's swing then kicked at Roland with his foot. Roland was caught totally unawares by this move and was sent tumbling backwards as the kick hit him in the stomach. As Roland tried standing up the guard captain was already upon him swinging his sword with his right hand. Roland, lying on the ground defended the first few swings but then suddenly the captain shifted the sword to his left hand and brought the sword down at Roland's head. |
<font color=#3300FF>Adohorn
Adohorn looked up onto the rockface, scanning for any holes where a Warg could hide away. </font> |
For Adohorn:
At first you see nothing but then where the footprints of the warg disappear you notice a small hole in the cliff-face which is about one meter high and half a meter wide. |
<font color=#3300FF>Adohorn
Adohorn approaches slowly and carefully, keeping a hand near his dagger incase of anything untoward. Reaching the cave he stepped in and looked around...</font> |
For Adohorn:
Inside the cave you see an initial chamber which is a circle of about four meter diameter. Two narrow passageways go off on the two sides. While Adohorn is trying to decide which way to go the warg howl can be heard again from the right hand passageway, then a few seconds later from the one on the left. |
<font color=#3300FF>Adohorn
Adohorn draws both his daggers, and heads up the right passage way. Training his eyes on the end and preparing for what was to come.</font> [ 10-10-2004, 08:02 AM: Message edited by: RoSs_bg2_rox ] |
For Adohorn:
Adohorn went along the passageway and after about a hundred meters reached a large cave. The darkness in here was nearly complete, but Adohorn could see with his elven eyes that the warg was not here. There was another exit from the chamber he was in but before Adohorn could examine it better he heard the warg approaching from behind him. And then it was in the chamber also and started circling Adohorn with its fangs beared. Suddenly it jumped at Adohorn. |
Roland quickly placed his sword above his head, so that the captain's sword would be deflected to the side. As soon as Roland heard the clang of metal, he rose and slashed with his sword, hitting the man in the shoulder, and cleaving in for a few inches. The captain dropped his sword, and gazed at the shoulder cut in half. <font color=lightgreen>"Where is Robyn?"</font> Roland asked the man, but recieved no response from the shocked captain. He twisted the sword a little and asked again <font color=lightgreen>"Where is Robyn!?"</font> It was only a matter of moments before the guards showed up, and he needed the answer fast.
|
For Roland:
The guard captain seemed shocked at the question but he did not answer. Instead he brought up his own sword and pointed the point of it at the defenseless Roland's throat. <font color=blue>"Withdraw your sword or I shall cut your throat!"</font> [ 10-10-2004, 11:32 AM: Message edited by: dplax ] |
<font color=#3300FF>Adohorn
Adohorn was ready for it, and nimbly rolled underneath the Warg, noting she was a female. So she wanted a challenge aye. Well she would get one. Pulling out from his roll Adohorn threw a dagger at her, although she managed to dodge it...this one was nifty. She jumped for him, not a typical Warg lunge, more a timed attack. He met the attack though, and pushed his dagger straight through her leg, meanwhile kicking with his other leg. The Warg managed to scratch at him, but fell to the ground. on it's back. Adohorn wasted no time and jumped on top of it, pinning its feet to the ground, and scrabbling for his other dagger. </font> |
For Adohorn:
Using the strength of its three remaining legs the warg pushed up and managed to push Adohorn off of herself. She was wounded but was not yet beaten. As Adohorn swinged at her with one of his daggers she opened he mouth and bit down at the dagger, snapping the blade. |
<font color=#3300FF>Adohorn
Adohorn grabbed at his other dagger, and yanked it from her leg. He ran back two steps; stunned by the Wargs strength. He proceeded to throw his dagger as hard as he could at her leg, and then drew his bow and fired an arrow at her stomach...</font> [ 10-10-2004, 11:29 AM: Message edited by: RoSs_bg2_rox ] |
