I actually do have a father. My father however, would probably be considered one. And my mother wound probably be a female version of the same. Both were "war babies" in Germany. Those were tough times. My mom was adopted by people who could afford to feed her.

My grandma had my dad out of wedlock and my... grandpa, for lack of a better word, went to war. They thought he died in the war, but it was found out years later, that he did not.

My father (and obviously I) have the last name of my grandma. Pretty unusual I would think.

Edit: woohoo! back to having only 2 eyes!

Not at all :) I like that everyone gets on and is shiny happy. I just get fed up with the self-censorship on here. If I think that someone's opinion on something is bollocks, I reserve the right to tell them that I think it is. Rather than just saying 'Oooh yes. That's a good, new and interesting way of looking at it!'

Gonna throw in my two cents on here while I can.

I originally came to Ironworks looking for info on Baldur's Gate, and I must've stayed in that one forum for quite awhile at least till I bothered with the other boards. In terms of what Lavindathar was talking about concerning the moderators, in all respects, Dundee was pretty fair (not suggesting that he wasn't, oops, sensitivity again). Having made a circle of friends in the BG1 forum, he really put up a lot of crap from us, never went too far with his authority though. It really was fun to be on the boards then at the time.

But you notice things, more often than not, it becomes a club. And I've spoken to others that've noticed it. A lot of my friends no longer visit here, and even if you do make a radically in depth post about something, unless you're part of the regular posting crowd that occupy the front page, chances are it'll get ignored.

It's somewhat frustrating.

I noticed it changed probably around the time Heirophant left, or rather the way he left that sticks out in my mind.

If you're in the big castle in the sky, I guess nothing can fall on you!

..and why would there be anything? You didn't say anything offensive: IMHO. But I don't know everything you're talking about either.

I think the main reason that activity has started to die down is that recent RPGs haven't gotten their own forums...Misc Games just doesn't have that same feel as a forum for the game. Look at Wizardry 8. Almost no one plays it anymore, but the board for it still has regular, if low, activity.

I didn't even notice Heiro go. Not in an offensive way, just think I must've already left. I left for about a year, and then came back, and most of the old crowd had gone. Caleb leaving was the start of it, though that pre-empted it all by quite a while. And he did 'leave', rather than just not coming on any more. I think after that it was all just a very slow butterfly effect.

Basically I think it all comes down to the dissolution of HADB and ORT :P

True, but there isn't always much to talk about on many newer RPG's. Many of these games don't create large and lively communities on other boards either.

Why did he leave? I remember he used to practically live here.
