Re: The City

It's not really a work around - it's that way be design, as some people like to do stuff one way and some another. :ninjas:

Re: The City

I prefer using the 3D window for that purpose... running around and adding stuff like doors, chairs, tables, cupboards is a lot of fun (especially after you have moved to a new city before and were forced to put ab all the real-life furniture on your own because your wife was pregnant... :D).

Re: The City

I use the 2D view to add initial walls and doors, but when I'm filling rooms, I use the 3D view. :)

"Let's see, I should put a table here, and oh! Under the window I'll put a dining table!" :D:D:D

Re: The City

My 3D view has always been sort of messed up - things look find when executing the game, but in the editor window, the walls and such do not align correctly...

That is usually caused by walls of a different resolution than the editor is working in. Also, changing the size of the 3D window is not supported in the editor, but works fine for the engine.

So, ya. I don't know why that is. :D

Re: The City

Hmm - can we change the resolution of the editor then? Or, what resolution is it set in by default?

Re: The City

We can change the resolution of the editor, and we can change the size of the grid display without changing the resolution.

It's at 640x480 by default.

Hm? But that is my executable's resolution, too... I only work at the lowest resolution :D

Re: The City

Like I mentioned, I don't know why, I just know how it's supposed to be. :D

Maybe a gremlin broke in and messed with your settings...;)
